I love the PS3 controller because it is natural to use. What is with the 360's stick placement? It's not a Rubic's cube I'm NOT holding it like that!!!!!!!!!

The Gamecube controller is probably the best there is in my opinion, but the 360 controllers are pretty good too.
You must be kidding (about the Gamecube part), those awkwardly proportioned, fragile pieces of junk that felt like they'd shatter within your hands? Worst. Controller. Ever. (or at least in the last two generations, excluding the boomerang shaped PS3 models which never saw the light of day)

PS3 controller for me. Everything is in close reach, and its just what I'm most used to.

I recently got Steam, and a few games for my PC now, so< I'm kinda getting the hang of mouse and keyboard, but, I'm nowhere near as fluent with that as I am with any controller.

I think my biggest beef with mouse and keyboard is, when it comes to FPS' the mouse is far clunkier than dual analog sticks. Its difficult to make quick 180 degree spins without having your sensitivity ridiculously high. You have to move the mouse as far as you can, lift it and move back to the other side, and then slide all the way over again, rinse and repeat. It just feels choppy.

Also, as far as the keyboard goes, the keys never feel as natural as buttons. Just, the placement of the keys makes it awkward for quick and responsive button presses. Even with everything hotkeyed to where I want it, something always feels out of place.

This is probably all because I started my gaming life with an N64 controller, and then progressed to Ps2 and then Ps3, so, I'll probably never be at the level I am with controllers with a mouse and keyboard scheme.

360 controller. The PS3 controller is a bit outdated. The Wiimote is a pain. Mouse and keyboard are always going to be crippled without joysticks or triggers.

No, I'm not kidding. The layout of the controller makes a lot of sense to me. I don't know what Gamecube controllers you were using, but mine felt solid and weren't fragile pieces of shit.

Gamecube, it's the most ergonomic one out there. I would say Xbox 360 but I know many people who have hands too small for them. Of course, the Gamecube could use some more buttons and some clicky control sticks but it seems superior in terms of button placement in general.

I'm not a PC gamer so I'm not familiar with the keyboard/mouse set up. Even when I did play Starcraft and Diablo, I would always wish I could play those with a more traditional controller (born a console gamer, gonna die one)

My choice was the Xbox360 remote. It feels...right. Much more natural for FPS, no motion gimmick, just pure, simple gaming. If the PS3 controller kept the L and R buttons the same as the PS2 design, I would have been sound-as-a-pound but, no...they replaced L2 and R2 with marshmallows.
I'm not familiar with the ps3 controller, what do you mean replaced L2 and R2 with "marshmallows" o_O
They feel squishy as hell. Almost to the point it destroys a game for me. It's why I prefer playing most racing games with the 360 controller or a steering wheel. Thankfully most games like Assassin's Creed move the functions mapped to the Left Trigger and Right Trigger on the 360 to the L1 and R1 buttons for the PS3.

For me? It depends on what games. For shooters and racers? 360 controller all the way. For beat em ups or games that rely on using the face buttons A LOT (I.E: Tekken, Assassin's Creed, God of War, Ninja Gaiden, LBP, etc.), I prefer using the PS3 controller.

I prefer the keyboard and mouse as well, but I don't find movement as flexible when compared to the analog stick. Funnily enough, I find the Wii remote and Nunchuck to be the closest control method out there that feels the closest to a keyboard and mouse, and 10 times as customizable. Play Metroid Prime 3 or The Conduit, and you'll see what I'm talking about.

X-Box 360 controller. I've only used a PS2 controller, it just didn't feel right, especially the trigger buttons. Never really played PC. The Wii . . . . actually isn't that bad for the games I've played. But still 360 all the way.

I prefer the mouse and keyboard. I get more controll with the mouse over when I use the sticks on a controller. 360 controller is second choice but it's gotten old and everything is sticky (Especially the sticks, They don't bounce back to the centre anymore) so nothing works as well now.

Xbox 360 controller after the keyboard and mouse of course.

I can't stand the PS3 controller due to the awkward placement of the left analog stick and the marshmallow triggers.

The Wiimote isn't that bad for its games but I find it annoying when using the nunchuck with it.

Depends on the game.
FPS/RTS - Keyboard/mouse by far.
Skateboarding/RPGs/Racing/Fighting - Controller.
Third Person Shooters - Either.
Rail Shooters - WiiMote.
Everything else I missed - Keyboard/mouse.

I've really grown to love the 360 controller. Ask me this 3-4 years ago, and I would've said the Dualshock without hesitation.

They really bricked it with the PS3 ones, though...

Kudos to that one guy who voted for the Wiimote, lol. I prefer the mouse and keyboard though.
