Sure. I'm an only child so I believe I'm closer with my parents than kids who have brothers/sisters. We talk a lot, they ask for my advice and I ask for their's. And they have cool hobbies; they're mature without being geezers.

This plus they give me rides and don't give me shit about my friends. Plus we occasionaly talk about stuff other than grades and that other BS kids talk to their parents about. Oh, and I took $10 form my dad yesterday in pokerJonluw said:

My parents are cool because they can still act like their 21 and still have the responsibilities and wisdom of their actual age. Sometimes they do act a little old though. We were out boating on the lake behind our house and my mom was complaining about some jerk blasting their music. It turns out it was our house.
Other times I wished they acted their age like when my dad did run around he house to tell everyone he just had hot alien lesbian sex with Liara T'Soni when he was playing Mass Effect.

Yeah, they're mostly cool. By which I mean that they mostly let me make my own mistakes and learn from them.
Same with mine. Well I am 22 now but they always gave me my freedom and I was allowed to stay out as late as I wanted, etc. They also don't care about my tattoos or piercings. Basically my mom said "you can do what you want as long as you're not hurting yourself".Jonluw said:

I wouldn't exactly describe my parents as "cool"; they're rather old-fashioned and dorky in a lot of ways. But parents don't have to be "cool" to be good parents. If I ever have kids, I don't care if they think I'm cool, but I want them to "respect ma authoritah!", as it were.
