Trilby or cowboy hat. When I see someone wearing either one I can't picture them not having a pistol hidden in there jacket. Though girls in bowler hats always seem so cool in a weird ironic way.

to be honest i never saw that great of a difference between fedoras and trilbys (something my brother often lectures me over >:/) but they are both awsome, though i suppose if I had to choose I'd go for the trilby

Apart from being fairly decent head armour, and looking quite intimidating, you could use the spike to hold all kinds of accessories, from flags to fruit, or even wigs and other hats.
