Psychology 101: Most women want a man who's older and taller. Most men want a woman who's younger and shorter.

The only time a majority vote tends to go against this sort of human-syntax thing is on 4chan. Are you truly willing to brave the mind-altering perils of that /b/rotherhood?

And as of right now, those who prefer cougars hold an incredibly slight majority. Obviously it's not as uncommon as you propose.

But i think it always depends on your age and since this is a gaming site i guess the majority is between 14 and 20 years old. That means a cougar is, to them, almost like very old aunt(45-50+) or mother(35-45+) and not everyone's name is Dustin Hoffman(Kudos to you if you got the reference.).

Well personally I think they are kinda gross looking myself. Puts me in mind of putting cheese on brocoli. You can dress it up all nice and appealing, but underneath you know whats there is vile, tastes like shoe and is abnormally green.

But to each their own. What I find offensive about them is the hypocrisy surrounding them. For some reason we approve of cougars to the point we give them a cute socially acceptable term, but we look at older guys who are attracted younger females like monsters.. even though there is a biological component behind it.

So... I say neither is wrong. But I am weary of seeing and hearing how one is acceptable, and the other id damnable.

Rolling up on 24 and cougars do have an appeal. Most often than not they have a stable life and they know what they want. They aren't like girls who are in their early 20s and are in a stage of uncertainty/indecisiveness (yes this doesn't apply to every girl but I find it in a lot of them). But in terms of physical attractiveness I still prefer girls my age rather than cougars. Its just the whole not having to deal with some of the early adult crap of other people is insanely refreshing.

Being in my early 30's and having dated both older and younger women, I think cougars are overrated. The one's I've "met" that class themselves as cougars seem to have more baggage than the carousels at LAX.
Sure they usually shower you with lots of gifts and attention, which is a real ego boost, but it's pretty much been proven that the female body peaks at 23 years (I think it's earlier for guys) in terms of fineness. Personally if it was purely for a fling I'd rather have a smooth, firm, possibly sexually novice 23 year old than a stretched, creased and desperate 35+ year old.
For a relationship however I like women my own age as we have more in common.
