Rolling up on 24 and cougars do have an appeal. Most often than not they have a stable life and they know what they want. They aren't like girls who are in their early 20s and are in a stage of uncertainty/indecisiveness (yes this doesn't apply to every girl but I find it in a lot of them). But in terms of physical attractiveness I still prefer girls my age rather than cougars. Its just the whole not having to deal with some of the early adult crap of other people is insanely refreshing.

I'm a bit older than most on here and at 28 have to say they rock. They know what they want are normally pretty direct about it and you dont get all the shit that seems to come from a one night stand with someone of the same age or younger....

Being in my early 30's and having dated both older and younger women, I think cougars are overrated. The one's I've "met" that class themselves as cougars seem to have more baggage than the carousels at LAX.
Sure they usually shower you with lots of gifts and attention, which is a real ego boost, but it's pretty much been proven that the female body peaks at 23 years (I think it's earlier for guys) in terms of fineness. Personally if it was purely for a fling I'd rather have a smooth, firm, possibly sexually novice 23 year old than a stretched, creased and desperate 35+ year old.
For a relationship however I like women my own age as we have more in common.

...some women look younger than their years. Especially when there's several shots/beers in the intervening time....and she apparently fell in love with me? (And has a kid whose age-difference is HALF of mine to his...[13-26])

Depends.

There are the kinds of cougars that are pulling the "I REALLY WANT TO LOOK 20 AGAIN" and it just looks... bad, too much plastic surgery, or just the fact that someone 35, acting like they're 21 is just a turnoff, the appeal and the attraction is the older looks and behavior.

The rarer breed, are the women that just seem to take care of themselves better, or who knows maybe they just had a better plastic surgeon and didn't go crazy with it? It's a sort of je-ne-sais-quoi that shows a woman who's aged and been comfortable with it, enough to have the confidence to know they're still hot at their age- not someone whos insecure about their age.

Still, if we're talking realistically- I prefer girls my age
