Poll: Death and All His Friends...

I'll choose when, obviously. The how and where don't matter, I mean, it's not like I'd survive.

Also, knowing when I'll die wouldn't be a burden to me. I'm always most productive when deadlines are closing in.

Unless I could choose all 3 or have the option of immortality, I wouldn't choose at all and let the man...guy...dude...um, walking skeleton with a scythe do his job.

i would die on an exbidition to an untouched corner of the Earth (or perhaps some other planet) and die trying (and perhaps suceeding) to make a better world for our planets animals!

there's a pretty obvious loophole in this thread, what's to stop us from wishing to die at the end of time itself? thus making us invinsible and, to a certain extent, imortal!
That is assuming death doesn't have the power to end time itself, he is pretty bad*ass, remember.

OT: I would like to die via assassination, after claiming supreme power over Australia, after the government's collapse due to the narrowly survived, zombie apocalypse.

I chose "How."

My answer would be "killed instantly due to expolsive decompression after a hull breach in my intergalactic spacecraft." That probably won't be happening for some time.

I came to this thread for the Coldplay reference in the title, and I'm posting for the interesting topic I found inside.

I would choose how, as being dead doesn't scare me nearly as much as the thought of dying painfully. I'd choose to die quietly and painlessly in my sleep.

The only thing that worries me is that if Death is a jerk, he could make this happen tonight, which would kinda suck, so I might ask for some insurance from Death before making this deal with him.

I would choose when I would die, but then he'd probably kill me in the worst way possible and in the worst place possible.

Couldn't this just be endlessly exploited?

Like, if I said WHEN, then could I just choose any arbitrarily long time away, like 1000 years?*

Or if I said WHERE and then said Mongolia, I would know that I could do anything death defying and provided that I wasn't in Mongolia, I would know that it wouldn't kill me. I could jump in front of a train in England and survive.

HOW has the most potential to guarantee that something happens. I could say something like "I fuck so many women that there is a national crisis and the government puts a price on my head".

*personal preference would be 500 years. That sounds like good enough time to do most things worth doing, plus a few years to dick around a bit

When. It's a no-brainer!
"When would you like to die?"
"The year 3000"
I IS HALF-IMMORTAL BRITCHES!!
What if you go into a coma in a week, and they put you into cryo-suspension until the year 3000, when you just die from freezer burn?

I'll go for WHEN.

Because that is cheating.

But what if how when and where you die are inextricably linked? Like if you get run over by the 2:00pm train as it leaves central station?
Then my friend, you are stuffed. ^^

"How" sounds good. Bitten and turned by a sexy female vampire is my choice. A Toreador, preferably.

Is that a loophole? What if you are the last person alive? What if your flash-frozen for all eternity? By choosing to die at the end of time, you could be spending millions of years in terrible suffering or barely alive at all!

Death is a tricky little bastard. Remember, by choosing one option, the other two are Death's choices to make.

If you jump in front of a train in England, they might need to fly you to a specialist in Mongolia to try and revive you (unsuccessfully)...

See what I'm getting at?

Gotta go for where. If i chose the moon, there is not that much he can do to get me up there. i would never die if i didn't feel like it. i would die on my own terms
I'd love to think something like this could happen but i think death wouldn't be very sportsman like and would do something stupid such as a part of the moon falling onto you (or some other ridiculous loophole)

I would choose when because that way I could go to where I want to die and how I would die. It just seems the obvious choice.

that makes sense, and if I was friends with death then he wouldn't want me to die early so I choose how, so I can make it painless
