Poll: Dextromethorphan (Robitussin) - Down the rabbit hole

Has anyone else on the Escapist been down that rabbit hole?

I've only used Robitussin for colds, sorry.

However, I have been given Morphine (in a Hospital, by licensed Doctors, entirely legally). And it was fucking awesome.

If I was ever going to abuse drugs - which I have no plans to, mind - it would be pain killers. Holy crap.

Lucky. I had codeine (same class of drug as morphine) once, and while I've been prescribed it since, I always wind up just taking Ibuprofen instead, because codeine makes me sleepy and... that's about it. And it's kind of an unpleasant sleepiness. I did, however, have nitrous before getting my wisdom teeth taken out. /That/ was fun. The recovery from the surgery wasn't[footnote]Most people get their wisdom teeth pulled out. Mine had to be cut out, which is much worse.[/footnote], but going under sure was.

I barely even drink let alone do other drugs... it's not my thing, i may not agree with other peoples choices to do drugs, but unless it is causing harm to others i have no leg to stand on and have a say in a strangers affairs.

@Owyn, mine were surgically removed as well, all four, it was the first time i've ever had surgery

My nephew lost his kidney one time and was on heavy doses of morphine in the hospital. He would start a sentence, pass out, wake up several hours later and finish it like nothing had happened and be bewildered that everyone had moved around the room.

Only personal experience with it is one time I bought two hydrocodone pills and took them. Fun, but not worth what I payed.

you are undoubtedly much better off having a real life instead of drinking cough syrup and giggling at the "spiders" in your carpet.

You think DXM makes you spider out? You don't seem like you really know what you're talking about when you say things like that.
