To be honest, people really should TRY alchohol before they get all self righteous and start condemning people (not aimed at anyone here, just in general.)
Agree'd, again not at anyone directly but what annoys me is when people get all high and mighty saying "I don't need alcohol to have fun" or words to that effect.

That's great, good for you. So can I. But alcohol is a sort of catalyst, do something fun when drunk and chances are it'll be more fun. :D

I do drink. As an undergrad I would often drink a lot and do dumb things, those were the good old days.

Well do you? For me I am underage but I have never thought of the idea of drinking a pleasent one. So I sort of made a early vow to never drink any Alcohol and just stick to Soda. I just like to keep sober as being drunk doesn't seem to be good phyicaly or mentally.
Im in the same boat as you.

I have had a couple of different wines and beers just to see if I like it.

And they all tasted like crap, so Im just not gonna drink at all.

I am honestly suprised about the lack of drinkers here on the forum, underage or otherwise.

Been drinking quite regularly since I was aroudn about 14. In moderation most of the time, have drunk qutie alot and to silyl extents in the last year and a half while at University, because the Uni bar is so cheap.

Great way to have fun and loosen up. I love it, but will inevitably calm down as I get older. Hell, I plan to become a teacher, so I will definitely calm down.

EDIT: I am also British, which is probably important too. The legal age for drinking here is 18, but binge drinking and underage drinking has become, unfortunately, a massive part of our culture in the last ten or twenty years.

No purely because I just dont see the point. Strangly enough I work on a wines and spirits department at a supermarket so its always awkward to come up with suggestions for customers but I always give a good suggestion I've been told :p

Day 4: friends 18th
Day 5: stuck at Euston after signal failure

but normally just a few beers a weekend

Yes, probably too much... I'm getting better at not massively over-indulging! Hangovers are bad, bad things.

Yeah, but not often. Only when I';m with close friends and have something to celebrate, usually accompanied by a bonfire.

I used to a good deal, but then I stopped completely, and now I do when I feel like it, either at parties or just for the nice taste of beer.

Well it depends.
When I'm feeling bad I might get myself some Whiskey, but I've never been drunk tho, I'm just not interested.

i had my first alcohalic drink a few weeks ago, i am 18 and unfortunatly the legal drinking age is 21. I found out that i do not like the taste of beer though. I couldnt rly stand it, but maybe it was just the brand.
