Did McDonalds really suffer that much?

They recovered fairly quickly by changing their menu. Now theyre muscling in on KFC's chicken specialising as well as having the McCafe and all the rest...

They're doing better than ever I think.

And yes i Love Maccas, though i eat everything else as well lol (that should of been an option in the poll)

I have never liked the stuff and on the rarest occasion I've eaten it I've always ended the day with a nasty stomach ache.

It's been nearly a decade since I've eaten maccas and the only time I go there is for the McCafe

Nope.

I remember the first time I went to Macca's as a kid. My burger roll was soggy. Urrgh.

Yes because it is convenient. Plus you say that you 'know what you are getting' and that you swore off their 'meat' for life. Super Size Me showed that the fries are the most chock full of the worst preservatives and junk. Think about that next time you are chomping those down.
Not kidding. Ever seen that time lapse video someone made of a bunch of of McD fries? Three months and those things didn't even show a spot of mold. They're basically made of plastic.

No I detest McDonalds. I did watch Supersize me but I thought that it was a ridiculous documentary. I mean, who would purposefully eat nothing but fast food for breakfast, lunch and dinner for a prolonged period of time. I know of noone who would put their body through that. I may not eat at McDonalds, but if I am at a friends and they ask whether or not we go to KFC and get a bargain bucket, I will always put my contribution in, I love KFC.

Yes, though not as often as I did when I was living on my lonesome. I've cut down my fast food intake quite a bit in the last few months, and have gained over 20 lbs since! Seriously, gained, not lost. It's like quitting smoking, your weight spikes right afterward.

No. If I want a bad hamburger, I go to Hesburger instead. But really the only fast food place I go to these days is Subway. Fast food is really expensive though, so I don't eat it very often.

Last time I ate there, I was abroad, I was hungry, and it was the first food establishment I found. I don't eat there if I can avoid it, or most fast food joints for that matter(they aren't any better). Occasional Pizza and Shawarma (or döner kebab for you westerners)is all I have, and those are far better health-wise. Normally I don't really put much thought into what I eat, but McD's is so horribly bad it managed to break me.

McDonald's does deserve harsh criticism for calling that stuff food, since most of it has as much in common with food as the plastic tray you're eating off (and it's not just McDonald's, but they kinda started the trend and seem to be ahead of the game). And yes, you likely are addicted to it, since plenty of food additives they use have been proven to be addictive. However, I don't care one bit if other people like to eat there. It's their choice

I work there, and anything I eat while working is free. So yes, I eat there. No, it's not good for you, but as long as one exercises and eats other foods which are actually nutritious, then there really isn't any harm done. And for the most part, the food there tastes good. Not great, but good.

I once had a pretty bad night out, I drank a whole bunch of mixed drinks which I later found out had been unattended drinks a mate had been stealing. I smoked a lot of cigarettes (I never smoke). Ate three big macs and some fries, before vomiting much later.

Now I'm physically repulsed by the smell and taste of Macdonalds. It's odd I can still eat the breakfast menu, and I can steal eat say Hungry Jacks' (Burger King) fries. But I just can't eat Macdonalds burgers and fries anymore.

I don't eat it often, but yes, I occasionally eat McDonalds. It's kind of hard to live in the US and not do it occasionally; there are just times when you're on a long car trip and you need some fast food, and McDonalds' are more common than pretty much any other chain, so they're easier to find, and you wind up eating it more frequently. As for the actual quality of the food, I'd rather eat Burger King or Taco Bell, and if there's one nearby, I'll always take a Five Guys over pretty much any other burger joint. You can't beat prices that are competitive with McDonalds, and a burger that's better than what most potentially all sit-down restaurants offer for several times the price. The free peanuts and made from scratch fries don't hurt, either. Seriously, Five Guys is awesome.

Edit: That said, McDonalds is pretty tasty. It's hard to say it tastes like real burgers or fries with a straight face, but it is quite tasty -- in much the same way Kool-Aid is delicious, despite tasting nothing like juice. I don't think I've ever seen anyone outside of this forum who didn't like McDonalds.

I eat a McDonald's meal once a month, usually. Sometimes I won't eat McDonald's food for up to three months. Occasionally I'll eat a burger twice a week, but I don't regularly eat McDonald's food. I tried that once - I got really tired of the taste, really quickly. I find it remarkable that there are people who can eat a McDonald's meal every, or nearly every day - wouldn't the taste get rather monotonous?

Nope... and I can't remember when the last time was... probably three or four years ago...

Don't really eat fast-food in general anyway.

Yes. After watching those types of documentaries, I always crave the weird/mutant/diseased food discussed. But I rarely eat fast food in general.
