Hmmm, I fear more about the death of family members, or my family's reaction to my death. By caring about my family, by proxy, I worry about dying, but I'm not so sure about death. I definitely fear pain, though.
Your going to die soon.OmniscientOstrich said:Yes. If I were told I was going to die soon, I would inexorably lose my shit.
That's just it, I'm an Atheist. My convictions are sealed. I believe all that awaits me is perennial black nothingness, hence I am afraid of death. Not now obviously, but as aformentioned when I reach an age or a time when it will dawn very near.Talo_AML said:Responding to the original posters question: Don't think of it as simply the end of existence, nobody knows that for sure, but the answer to the greatest mystery Humanity has ever known. So what u gonna do is take a crash course in self defense, and kick the shit outta dude with the rusty butter knife.ZehMadScientist said:...Ok, deep breaths *Haaaaah...Huuuuuuuuh* Calm down...Jodah said:I am going to murder you with a rusty butter knife in three days.ZehMadScientist said:Ask me on a whim, I'll say "Nopes, I'm not afraid.". Because death usually comes unexpectedly.
Tell me that three days from now I will be murdered by a man with a butcher knife (and lets say that I know it is true what you say) then yes, I will slowly but surely get very terrified for my death.
