I don't think it's reasonable to "hate" free entertainment.

That said, I think CAD is very far from funny, so I don't like it at all.

So you're kind of doing the Atkinson thing, assuming the poll will get biased results right off the bat unless they vote No. If we do vote Yes, we're clearly brainwashed slaves. Nice.

I dunno, does someone who opens with that opinion actually want to hear mine? It doesn't seem like it's worth saying if you're just going to shoot it down.

Big no no, I got hooked on CAD years before the Escapist, so I already had a strong affection for it, and to be honest, Yathzee smacking it up more obvious than he did Turok, made me love it more. The eternal randomness, stupidity and parody mixed with an actual storyline did make it good for me.

And if you don't like the whole story thing, just stick to the sillies.

He did a miscarriage storyline and refused to let it die for a quite a while. Unlike the baby that did die. It's more complicated than that but each time I go back to review the strips I'm inclined to agree with most comments and opinions about it, including Yahtzee's webcomics thing.

As a general rule of thumb, it's best not to judge the entire community based upon the first 3-4 commenters of a Zero Punctuation video.

Just saying.

And no, I don't hate it. It just sort of... "isn't funny" anymore to me, as weak of an excuse as that is.

I don't really hate it, but I dislike it so I put that. It was funny at first but then all of the jokes got old and reused and the plot is full of the main character being a gary stu.

I love it. it's great with a plot that keeps me interested and actually is a plot. it's better than alot of the online comic "plots" out there. There is story, body, character devolpment, unique styles. For his art work, it evolves better than most i've seen and it's still within his style. And untill i see proof of the allegations that i saw on a forum here a while ago i don't believe it.

Oh for the consoles sake some of the posts i've read seem like that people don't like a web comic if it actually has drama or story in it. Philistines!

Ok, I resent that. I'm no Yahtzee clone. For one thing I'm not into FPSs, I don't hate JRPGs, and I've never played a Silent Hill game.
Now OT: I've only seen maybe 1 or 2 CAD comics so I can't really whether I like them or not. I generally don't read webcomics, except to occasionally glace at VGcats if I'm in the mood.

Could I once more be allowed to direct your attention to a certain something?

Buckeley, to my knowledge is beyond a bag of douche, he is a supermarket that sells bags of douche.
The comic itself is decent. There are much better webcomics, and it's been on a downward slope with its semiserious sitcom plots, but it manages to still be pretty okay to read.

Na, don't hate it. But i stopped reading it... hm more than a year ago, i think.

Ah i remember that "Bigger than Cheeses" ridiculed his "miscarriage"-panel for like... twenty strips in a row, or more. Was funny (if DARK as BLACK and pretty mean), the first few times... but holy crap.

Also Wintereenmas was pretty nice. Just a good excuse for a LAN-Party in the new year.

I enjoyed it for years. Then, gradually, I realised that something had changed and I was only reading out of habit. At this point, I deleted it from my bookmarks with a minimum of fuss. I didn't immediately sign up to the forums and begin bitching, didn't email Tim and complain, didn't go looking for people condemning it. So no, I don't hate it. I just don't like it.

I'm sure the parodies are still good at times, though.

Yes, since it became void of any gaming humour around 2007/8. It was never brilliant, but a decent read. Now it's just tiresome and unfunny, with actual gaming comedy once in a blue moon.

Liked it way back in the day when it was about being silly and no real point to it. Now its just garbage with poor story arcs and virtually no humor left. Hate is too strong of a word but it was the only negative option so... *shrug*
