Has he read the comic in the last year, when Buckley actually started using facial expressions?Snotnarok said:My friend expressed the range of motions with Ctrl+alt+delete

That'd be it.
More or less this. I thought it was mildly amusing at first, then it started getting not so funny, then the whole miscarriage arc popped up and between that and the "I decide if the comic is to be funny or serious, so eff off" incident I decided that I'd rather not read it anymore. I mean, yeah, he draws it, he can do what he wants, but a paradigm shift without a clutch is going to annoy some people. I guess I'm one of them.Jannycats said:I hate Tim Buckly with a passion, and more or less dislike his comics. They used to be pretty funny back when he wasn't famous and so arrogant.

The contrived "plot" was about a miscarriage, not abortion.
The thing is he's built the whole of his comic around Ethan being an idiot. What's he gonna do when he FINALLY (God in heaven hurry the fuck up with that) gets married and/or has a kid? He can't be retarded forever, and then Tim's comic just kinda..dies. Or he makes a new one. I just don't see the Ethan Tim has established as being a believably serious person. Too much of a 180.willard3 said:That, sir, is called character development, which movie critics love and most shallow people hate. Most gamers just want to see stuff blow up and hear witty one-liners instead of seeing characters slowly evolve.evilartist said:I think haters mostly...well, hate it because of the more dramatic direction Tim went with the comic. I love the comic, too, but only because I've grown somewhat attached to the characters over the years. I miss the good ol' days where Ethan would just get drunk and invent holidays or build time machines, but I also care now what actually happens to them.revolverwolf said:As much as it pains me to use the phrase, "This."TheNamlessGuy said:OT: I like all of it, I can say proudly
I don't understand why people hate it to be honest. Could someone enlighten me to the reason(s)?
And the same people that ***** about CAD are the first to ***** about characters being one-dimensional in RPGs. The irony, oh how I love it.
EDIT: Not all people that hate CAD are closed-minded.
