That's a pretty poor generalization...

No wonder people throw around the term 'faith in humanity lost' when shit like this happens.
Can you elaborate on the matter Id love to know?
Yes I can, assuming the term 'kids' goes for every kid.

What most people in this thread seem to loathe/hate/dislike are a certain type/catgegory of kids. The kind of kids they see, where they live. Not every kid fit under the description that is being given to them; hell it's a grosser generalization than for race and sex.

I hate those kind of kids too but that doesn't mean every single kid acts the same way.

We had this thread before. If you look back you could probrably find it.
OT: I can't see why you would hate children in general. Everyone is diffrent.
The topic I found was from 2009 dunno if necroposting is allowed , if I am wrong please post it.
I don't know if this has been answered yet, but here goes:

In the time before the new forum rules, the set of rules was a lot clearer. There were directions for how to do things. Now there are not. I like to think that they still apply, but sadly, new users aren't informed about them.
In these previous forum rules, it said "Use the search bar. The topic you wish to do might have been done before. If you find a thread less than two months old, necro that instead. In general, necroing is preferred to repeat-threads."

If the only one you could find was from 2009, you're good. No worries.
It's only really annoying if we had the same thread, like, a week or so ago.

Fuck kids. There are very few exceptions to children that I dislike. Most of them are loud and annoying as all fuck. Sure, same can be said about most teenagers, but I have a lot easier time ignoring teenagers because they don't pester me as much.

I also hate it when people go " You were a kid yourself once you know." when I mention that I hate kids, but rest assured that if I were to meet myself in the past I would probably hate myself.

I don't like children. Nor do I hate children.

Children don't appeal to me.

Just let me hang around over here and kids can go have fun somewhere else.

12 hour plane journey, 2 toddlers and a baby and a stupid mother behind me. i could have killed them all. But i just falcon kicked the kid as we left the airport, yelled at the mother to properly conduct her children in public and walked off like a boss. and still hating kids.
You're my goddamn hero. I dislike kids in general, but on planes it pisses me off to no end!

I actually don't mind babies, though, until they start crying. It's a berserk button for me.

Once they can walk, and talk, then my dislike begins.

Funny thing: Parents spend the first two years of a child's life teaching them to talk. WHY??? They then spend the next fourteen years trying to get them to shut up.

I'm surprised with all the sensibilities that the majorty of the votes went into the "yes" category. But yes I hate kids, simply because they are noisy. (coming from a guy who plays guitar and Drums)

If a kid is good and quiet then I have no problem with them. The screaming, loud and running type however....can't stand them! But then again I generally don't like loud people no matter their age.

Last week I spent an hour or two teaching my cousin's 5-year-old son to build LEGO and recognize where the new parts were for each step in the instructions.

Apparently my cousin thinks I should work with kids professionally now. ^^' (Something I might consider, by the way, since I'm 26 and completely devoid of any work-related passions.)

Damn, I'm seeing more and more why the long-time members of this site get grouchy about recycled threads :p

OT: Nope, definitely not.

Depends, if it's a cocky little bastard then I tend to dislike him, if it's just chillin', then I don't mind em.

Ironically I hate kids less now, as an adult, than I did when I was one. Clearly, I am going soft and mellow. Or maybe not; I do still hate kids as much as I hate everything else.

^ Medal. I'm borrowing that one.

OT: As a kid myself, Yeah I hate kids. I usually have a gaming rant about kids but if we mean outside that then its because they are all whiney little idiots who either scream justin beiber loves me or i'm the best football and cod player ever. Personal Experience.

well heres the thing, if the kid is well behaved, friendly, and nice to his elders (including teens) then i enjoy them, but if there annoying, loud, nasty little fuckers, with no kindness with them, i absolutely hate them

I lean towards yes. I don't "hate" them but I sure as heck don't like them and don't like being around them. They smell funny ,always touch things they shouldn't, and being really loud in public irks me. Most are terrified of me so that's a plus.

Little buggers always ruining my movie going experiences.
i had an experience like that expect it was college kids being assholes
the funniest part was one of them announced to the audience "I LIKE HAVING UNPROTECTED SEX"
and one if the audiences countered back with "SO DOES YOUR MOM" the entire theater cracked up

I was having lunch in a café with my friend when we heard screaming in the back from a small give or take 6 year old boy about not getting an icecream from his mother.
When some people were whispering about not raising their kids the right way.
Then my friend said that some people say that because they hate children.

Now I dont plan on bieng a mother any time soon maybe in the future I love kids BTW.
Now I was wondering about you how do you feel about kids you like or you wanna just stick them
behind the wallpaper or your experience with kids big or small?
Oh my god a girl! (sorry ive just been wanting to say that for a while no offense)

I don't "hate" children but I don't like them, either. I prefer dogs and cats and people my own age. Kids are either young and sticky and yucky or teenage and angst-ridden and arrogant.

I have known exceptions but I find all of my friends are the above 25 set. Usually gives them a couple/few years after college (or a job) to find out that they really don't know everything, really aren't that special or unique, and really don't have all the answers. When life humbles them a bit; that's a good time to befriend them. ;)

This statement is completely hollow and is just that person talking out their ass, unless they actually are a parent, because if your not a parent you commenting on parenting is just the same as a doctor telling a construction worker how to do his job

I voted 'yes' because my choice wasn't available. I like my friends' kids (because they're not stuck at my house nor do I have to "control" them), but am not fond of stranger's children - unless they're >EXTREMELY< well behaved.

I raised my brother from age 6-12 and my half-sister from practically birth to age 5, so I had enough child rearing when I was a teenager. And my own mother was quite selfish and not very "motherly."

At 21, I decided I did not want to be a mother (and am way to selfish - guess it runs in the family) or participate in the "joys" of motherhood and got my tubes tied.

No kids = peace and longevity. Many recent studies have shown people without children are much happier (and healthier) than those with children. Parents simply don't have the time to invest in themselves, therefore they invest in their mini-me's.

In 2009, it costs in upwards of $200,000 to raise a child from birth to age 17 (figures haven't been tabulated for 2010). And this doesn't include paying for college.

I'd rather spend that hard-earned money on improving my own life.
