3 bar connection = Rage quit.

Seriously, playing a FPS with ~100ms is retarded.
I think this problem is particularly worse in Modern Warfare 2, because there is a great emphasis on reflexes and reaction times.

When I play Halo 3 multiplayer I will normally have a pretty dodgy connection because I live in Australia, but it doesn't (usually) affect the game too much.

I hate it because it's so totally and utterly average. The story is ridiculous, especially compared to the relative subtlety of the first, the game is bereft of actual memorable moments, unlike the first, which averaged one a mission, so they just pilfer them off the first. The gameplay is pretty much the same, but the situations you're put in are a lot more contrived.

Plus, the game is 10 quid dearer than other games which provide much longer singleplayer and more varied multiplayer. On that note, the singleplayer is almost totally negated in favour of the multiplayer, which is horrible for people who don't play Multiplayer like me. Speaking of the multiplayer, from the little I've played of it, it's horribly unbalanced, and full of some of the most idiotic people I've seen on any game since Halo. Not to mention the way it utterly shafted the PC.

And it's the best selling game ever made. Dear lord.
Furburt, let me tell you something about why I like you. You're different from all the other forum 'celebrities' (or whatever); I used to get annoyed by you being everywhere but now I realise why everyone loves you. I wholely disagree with your opinion, but something about the way you write it makes me respect it too, something many people don't have the ability to do; many don't seem to be able to write ob(or is it sub?)jectively.

Anyway, you win the Munch seal of Not-A-Douche!

It wasn't exactly bad, but doesn't deserve the heaps of praise it gets. Oh, and at last I have an excuse to post this video:

I almost forgot about that animation, thanks for bringing teh lolz

It was not at all on the same level as the first or previous Call of Duty games. It was attempting to be an interactive action movie Solo saddens me and the Online was a bastardized version of 4. All in all the game was trying to hard to be what it's father was... Good.

Tho I will say, doing co-op in "Gillies in the mist" was rather enjoyable.

I don't see any plotholes(sure it was unrealistic but that's not a plothole) and the nuke cheat on multiplayer has only happened once for as long as I have played. all in all, I love it.

No, I don't hate it at all. I thought the single player was a lot of fun with an extremely entertaining story. As for the multiplayer, well, I really enjoyed it. I don't know why - I do have it on PS3, so I didn't have to deal with any of the infamous PC issues, and my friend and I had a great time working our way through the Veteran Spec Op missions.

I can't stand the game anymore. The only reason I play is because its the ONLY game my friends play.

Most of the games problems stem from the players. I'm sick of playing against the same person over and over, only with a different name. By that I mean, everyone uses the same weapons and perks and everyone goes to the same spots over and over. Scar, UMP45, Barret(always thermal sight), akimbo shotguns(because in real life, you'd be able to fire both at once without dislocating your shoulders. Oh yeah, then don't shoulder them in-game. They free aim them.). That's all it ever is. Why? Because they have the highest "power".

Lets face it, the game is newb friendly. I don't mean "noob", I mean people new to FPS in general. The series was severely dumbed down for this game. No recoil in weapons, high explosive area, ridiculous and unrealistic perk system.

Honestly, I'd like to gut that guy that decided there should be a perk that allows you to slide 20 feet to stab someone. Yet, without that perk, you can have your hand in your opponents back pocket and not be able to stab them. Not since this game would anyone even think of pressing their knife button at these distances.

The game is unrealistic, which is sad. IW said they weren't putting in a zombie mode because they wanted to keep the game realistic(and they were planning the disaster* that is Spec-Ops), yet with a commando pro, not only can you slide 20 feet to stab someone, but you could jump off the Empire State building and not take damage.

*Spec-Ops online is a wreck. Split-screen, its great. However, I've experienced nothing but lag online, including trying to play with another console in the next room over(we wanted our own screens). I've also read about horrible lag, no matter your connection type or speed.

No dedicated servers? Yeah, because I like being kicked due to host migration failure. Some poor fella can't take a beating, so they leave and ruin the game for everyone else.

MW2 fun fact: Killstreaks don't continue after host migration. If you're 24-0 and looking for that last kill for a nuke, it isn't happening after host migration.

The game punishes good players that are on a team with people that aren't doing so well(Note: Not bad players. Everyone has a bad game every now and then). Killstreaks. Once the other team starts racking them up, its game over for you. Even if you're 30-5.

Horrible spawns. How many times have you killed someone, only to have them respawn directly behind you? Happens to me all the time. How many times have you been killed just to respawn in front of the guy that just killed you, and he gets you again in the same clip? Happens to me all the time. Don't even get me started on spawning me under predator missiles, enemy grenades, or claymores.

TL:DR: I hate this game, but ONLY play it because its ALL my friends will play.

I hate call of duty in general I've given them multiple chances and every game is just damn boring. I can't understand how it became so popular.

I dont like the fact that the game doesnt have dedicated servers.
I dont like the fact that the game is overpriced (at least on steam in my region).
I dont like the fact that the game gets more praise than it deserves, although its not as bad as halo.

I found the campaign to be decent fun, but nowhere near as good as MW1.
I dont hate MW2 I just feel quite meh about it.

It was pretty fun. Certainly not as good as CoD4, but a nice shooter nonetheless.

The multi-player is a little to frantic for my taste, though.

It's terrible because we didn't get any dedicated servers but the single player was fun if short, especially when you compare it to the rest of the dead, repetitive fps genre.

I voted for "game was shit" although it's not my exact opinion of what I think. I don't think the whole game per-se was bad, more that the game had the same potential it's predecessors did, more that the developers completely ruined it.

I don't hate it, I got 75 hours of entertainment out of it (according to Steam) before I got bored of it. Which, now that I think about it, makes it one of my most played games EVER.

Thing is I don't usually enjoy Multiplayer, but I happened to do quite well at MW2 (well, on some of the game-modes anyway) and there was a distinct enjoyment out of beating all those whiny 14-year-old FPS players that I hate. I got accused of hacking constantly, and it just made me smile evilly >:)

Also, one of my biggest problems with online FPS games is there is no sense of progression. You don't really achieve anything which makes things feel pointless. But MW2 provided me with a levelling system which I had not experienced before in an FPS game, granting me upgrades and weapons as I go, really giving me a sense of actual accomplishment. (Incidentally, I got bored of the game once I unlocked everything I wanted, and as a result haven't played it since)

I understand its flaws and I can see why people hate it. I also thought the single-player campaign (which I actually bought the game for) was mediocre, and I'm fucking sick of war games in general, I hated the setting and general over-the-top manly bravado that the series represents. Actually now that I say that, I forgot why I actually bought the bloody game in the first place - probably just because the COD4 campaign was pretty great. I also bought the PC version, so I had to put up with the horrible matchmaking system, lack of dedicated servers and minor framerate issues due to it being a pretty shit port. But I can't deny that the multiplayer is very addictive, and if the next game has the same kind of multiplayer system I can definately see myself buying it. I gotta be honest, for a game to keep me playing for that long is something unprecedented in my case, so overall it was $100 well spent.

Singleplayer: Enjoyed every minute of it.

Multiplayer: Played quite a bit, but quit after realising that games with 1 shot kill tendencies were not my thing. I like being able to fight back.

It IS fun listening to my brother rage in his pants at Noob toobers, to which I correct him and call it the Pro pipe, to which he promptly smacks me upside the head.

It's so easy, it would be an afront to the internet to not bait him.

For the lulz!

The poll options are pretty lame. Where's the option for neither hating it passionately nor thinking it's awesome? I'm pretty indifferent to the game. I haven't played single-player, but multi-player was kind of eh. There are some things about it I like and others I don't, and even if it were free, I probably wouldn't have kept playing it much beyond the length of the free weekend on Steam, much less pay $60 for it. There just wasn't really much about it that drew me in. If anyone needs me, I'll be back playing TF2 some more instead, which I keep going back to for some reason every few months.

Ran out of options. Also, that would be TF 2 on the PC I presume?

I don't like the fact that there is NO skill involved. Try to convince me if you like, but I beat my best friend on it when I'd never played it before. He bought it when it came out and is pretty good.

I'd like to see someone who has never played on Halo beat me at Halo.
