On this site, it's severely underrated, everywhere else, it's severely overrated. Spec Ops is great fun, and most importantly to me, it has superb split-screen.

I'm rather proud of myself regarding MW2. I was one of the many who said "fuck that, I'm not buying it" after Activision inacted all that bullshit, (and wanted to charge me $30 more than usual for the privelage,) but with a difference - I actually didn't buy it. Still haven't.
I'll play it when it's in the bargain bin. From past experiences I'd say that'll take five years. Damn New Zeland game prices.

Something I don't quite get, aside from why hippies smoke pot and such, is the reason why there are so many MW haters. I mean sure, Activision produced it, and the plot was a bit insane, but I felt it was fun. And I'm still playing the multiplayer, even with the glitching, hacking and Karachi. Because I am genuinely entertained by it.

So what do you, the forum community think?

I disliked it because I saw it as a plain generic shooter and was sick of the hype (tbh the adds saying that its a must get game turned me off it more then anything else funny enough, I was almost offended to be its target audience the way the add was presented). Oh and at $120 AUD it was definitely not worth getting.

Same here, I still don't have CoD4: MW1/2 (I refuse to say MW2 because thats MechWarrior 2, a fun game) and have no urge nor plans to get it.

I love the campaign to bits.

The multiplayer is bloated and broken, but it has the potential to be great if things are fixed.

I dislike it not hate it because of several things. I liked Cod 4 it was good fun the single player was good and the multiplayer was fun. Now MW2 has gone down the more and bigger the better and screwed it up. The single player campaign was fun but not as good as cod4 and shorter. Spec Ops was good but got old eventually. MUltiplayer introduced some new things and ruined multiplayer, their are many balance issues and glitches but i can live with those but the maps bar a few are not good. the killstreaks are what i hate most because it unbalances gameplay and i have seen people go from happy to angry for deaths caused by killstreak rewards. So it's like cod 4 but worse so i don't see the point in it and therefore dislike it.

The multiplayer is so unbalanced it hurts, and the plot is ridiculous. It's not bad, but not as good as Modern Warfare 1.

Nothing really in that poll that describes how I feel about it. It's annoying, I don't like it and I find it unbalanced in multiplayer and just insane (in a bad way) in singleplayer. It's just not to my taste, but I can see how people could like it.

Most people on PC hate it because of lack of dedicated servers, removal of many many features, modding disallowed so they can make more moeny via DLC, just generally a gimped up version of the game.

This and something about the game just rubbed me the wrong way.

I played MW2 for 13 days and I don't plan on going back to it any time soon. COD4 is a much better game. MW2 is completely broken with overpowered killstreaks, deathstreaks, care packages, unbalanced weapons, infinite explosives.

I hate everything ABOUT it, the game was ok, totally average and not worth playing, but average. But yeah, DLC, dedicateds, price, and the generally awfulness of everything surrounding the game turned me off. Oh, and it was shite

I chose the game was shit. But for me thats not strictly true. I liked singel player and spec ops but I found multiplayer extremly boring IE the same as the last two games. If they made the next Cod with a different multiplayer I might play it more.

I've hated CoD since post-CoD2, every single one from 3 and on has been complete and utter crap to me. I give them a chance, I'll rent them. But always disappoint. Black Ops I expect will be no different, but alas, I'll probably rent and keep my hopes up.

It was ok, but I got bored of it all very quickly. It was well made, but I didn't like what they did with the multiplayer, but all my friends disagree. The story was fun a couple of times through, but then lost its sheen, and Spec Ops is great until you reach the last four or so that I find too hard to do on Veteran, I just can't be bothered.

So yeah, a bit meh, for me.
