I got a DS Lite. I used to have "The Brick", but the stylus sucked on the original.

I never leave home without it. I play it while driving.

Anywho, that idea is kinda odd. I mean, how would they verify that you on the GBA cartridge?
I know it's odd, I've been thinking about how this would work myself. They could utilize Club Nintendo accounts, but I strongly doubt many people would have bothered with registering.

Anyway, this is why I posted this thread: so that it can be 'refined' into something more plausible and more useful.
It's best to just get the GBA slot die. If you are that desperate to play old GBA games, you can get an old SP for very little money.
True, but that wouldn't solve the problem :p Besides, I still have an old GBA lying around here somewhere...

I have no idea what that is. If it is related to the DS then no I don't have one and never will. I don't use consoles, especially not Leetle Itsy Bitsy ones.
Well, seeing as how the letters 'D' and 'S'are used multiple times in my post, it should be pretty obvious that yes, this is about the DS.

Wait, the problem was the DSi's lack of a GBA slot. And the solution is to get a GBA for cheap. I still have my SP, but never play it. Because Diamond/Pearl/Platinum are PERFECT.

Just a DSlite. For the pokemans.
I take it you've heard there's already a new generation on the way?
I'm the one who told people in the Escapist Pokemon group, so yes. Really glad it's on the DS.

I can't help but fear what kind of monstrosities the Pokemon team will think of next.
... Still gonna buy the game though, that shit is like crack. Crack that shoots lightning.

Wait, what? I beg to differ.
I'll defend them 'till I die.

Because I find the originals to be the WORST.

The series quality goes like this:

D/P/P > G/S/C > R/S/E > R/B/Y

I'm immune to nostalgia.

I have some manner of DS...though I'm not sure if it's default, lite or DSi
If it's the size of a refrigerator, it's the original.
If it has 2 cameras, it's a DSi.
If it is neither the size of a fridge nor has 2 cameras, it's a DS Lite.

Definitely a lite then

That would explain it, since I'm constantly drowning in nostalgia.

From the first games I honestly can't think of a single pokemon I hate and the second generation continued this, with the only possible exception of Dunsparce (fuck that thing).
The second generation also added a lot of stuff; color, berries, repeatable trainer battles.
The third, while having mostly stupid Pokemon, did improve on a lot of things: the graphics were better, berries actually got believable names instead of PSNCUREBERRY, they added contests, and out of all the bad guys from the Pokemon series, Team Aqua and Team Magma were still somewhat believable, and not just being evil for the sake of being evil.
And then we have Diamond and Pearl.
Pokemon I actually like dwindled to about a handful and they made contests worse in my opinion, along with secret bases. The baddies not only returned to their stupid motivations, they also gained weird haircuts this time. Sure, they did include online trading, and fighting trainers again got a whole lot easier thanks to the VS Seeker, but still...

So I'd say my rating would be Gold/Silver/Crystal > Red/Blue/Yellow > Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald > Diamond/Pearl/Platinum.

No, I'm still stuck with the DS lite. I must get it fixed actually.

I'll wait till the DS2 or whatever it's called.

I'd love to be able to get old GBA and GB games online for it. Heck, old SNES and NES, and maybe even N64 games would be appreciated!
You are a VERY fast poster, you know that?

I have a Pink DS Lite that I use to play Pokemon and Professor Layton on. I won't upgrade because then I can't play the older Pokemon games on it.

Just a generic "No" would have been nice on the thread. =P

Personally I don't have a DSi, nor plan to get one. I don't get the chance to play handhelds these days, and even if I did, I prefer the DS Lite anyway. I'd rather have the ability to play GBA games and the portable Guitar Hero games and use the rumble pack, than the option of DSiWare.
