I know to keep my trap shut and stay under the radar.

But if someone were to start on me for no reason? I'd be screwed. I can't even run that fast.
Hence why I stay the other side of the road to "sporty types" if possible.
That's genuinely what our Geography textbooks call the chavvies that are highly likely to stab you and take all your nik-naks. "Sporty types".

The best defense is a good offense.

Plus a shotgun.
TO THE FACE!!!!

Seriously though, I used to do karate, but I got impatient and stupidly quit. Course, my house packs more guns than an army base, so I don't really have to worry. Unless I go outside...

Meh, I've got the Escapist.
i thought it was the other way around
I think my 12 gauge disagrees...

13 years of Hapkido, 5 years of Tae-Kwon-Do, 4 years of Shaolin Kungfu, and my most recent of 2 months of Eskrima.
You do not want to mess with me when i have any form of stick in my hand, nor when I have the ability to jump and move. But, when I find a place to teach Judo, then I will be good all around.

I'm considering taking up Capoeira if that counts. It's a Brazilian martial art but it's taught extremely passively.

Trained in freestyle wrestling in high school, which was pointless as there was no team.

Then I trained in Aiki-Jujutsu and Karate. More the former than the latter. Injured myself, but if I get the chance I'd love to go back and spend a few more years.

I can defend myself if I have to, but I prefer not to get in fights in the first place.

8-9 years of Wado Ryu, Kendo and Ninjutsu.

Would I use any of it in a fight?

Probably.... maybe.... can't I just avoid the conflict all together?

While I have average improvised skills,
I would probably do badly against a trained individual.
Just wanted to say I approve of your "Skittles - the hard to spell dragon" avatar.

OT: I was in the army for two years, and I have a black belt in Japanese Jujitsu. I would say that's a definite "yes", but I had a pretty bad back injury (resulting in me leaving the army) and honestly I doubt I'd be able to really handle myself in a fight against someone who knew what they were doing.

Martial arts? No, but I can throw a damn nice punch, have pretty fast reflexes and I'm pretty clever.

Not to mention that I'm more than willing to fight extremely dirty and because of my relatively broad and especially tall build can look pretty intimidating if I want to.

That should do, in most occasions that is. But I'd like to learn a martial arts though, especially Japanese Juijitsu and Jeet Kune Do appeal to me.

Black belt in karate, been doing it for nine years, almost ten.

Graduated to black belt in one style, quit and then went from 1st brown to black belt in another style. But I'm a passive person and haven't needed karate for anything other than show yet... And possible preventing groin tearing that time I fell off the bike... make that times...

I can throw a punch and I am a rather beefy guy, it's not much but it's kept me safe so far.

I trained Ju Jutsu (or wtf the name are) but it was years back but I'm still a good brawler punshing, kicking, whatever. I'm a very good "amateur fighter" I will do the job easy and nice but not so professional.

It's a pretty simple question.
I used to do Tae-Kwon-Do. I was a red-belt two-stripe.
Red belt two stripe? What does that mean?
When I did tae kwon do, I reached blue belt. I'd happily go back and finish the training.
But what do you mean 'two stripe'? Like, red belt with a black stripe? We always called that 'black tag'.
Aye. As do we.

Not particularly, I tried Karate for a while, but it was pretty pathetic. I'm not being arrogant here, but it really did suck, whether it was the teacher, or the students, I don't know.

Tae Kwon Do was ok, but got a bit dull.

Judo was awesome, but shut down soon after I joined. (I'd found it was what I was destined to do in life, as I was pinning people twice as old as me, and been doing it for years on my first month.
