It were a few hard month still liking CAD that wedding story was soooo not interesting. We need more Random Gaming Gags! I hate it when big stories evolve in Web Comics (like in order of the stick)only very few do it good.
And i Miss the Chef !! he was the best.

The comic, I like it when it sticks to games...But the main plot is stuck up its own ass, and takes up most of the strips. So I voted "No."

The computer keys are awesome, though.

By in large bland, boring, somewhat creepy and badly written. Its actually funny sometimes...

hmm, I am not too sure about it. I have only read the first 100, it is entertaining in its own way but kind of silly. Something I would read when bored but not really get excixted about

The buttons? Yes, they've saved my ass several times.
The comic? Yes to that too, I'm still curious on what happens, and it still has the occasional good joke.

It's meh, something to pass 15-30 seconds of time and then move on. I love XKCD the most when it comes to webcomics.

I just read it merely because it developed into a habit when the main story was still amusing.
The sillies and the occasional game comic are pretty good though.
Off to wait the next LFG now.

I've stumbled upon the fact that a lot of people don't like CAD. I want to know how many people like it and if not what don't you like about it?
Some of the stuff makes me giggle, but I don't find it nearly as funny as webcomics like Dinosaur Comics or XKCD so I voted no because I don't usually find it entertaining.

I used to read it and have some nostalgia for it, but I got bored and stopped reading during the post-miscarriage arc. Which is strange, because I actually liked the story arcs and Ethan's proposal to Lilah.

Of course, we can all agree on one thing: the noob vs. newb strip is incredibly helpful.

It's useful for trying to end processes, although on my computer has an annoying habit of NOT stopping the processes. Damn.

CAD is an awful abbreviation for that!

I don't like the comic. I just don't find it interesting at all.

The whole misscarriage-plot and the connected drama was simply too much for me to continue reading the comic. The humor already went downhill until that point and the said plot settled it for me.

I started reading the comic to laugh, not to be confronted with "serious" themes. Of course there is nothing wrong with handling serious buisness in comics, see Maus, but the reader should be given a choice.

There is nothing wrong with raw meat, but when I find it in my cornflakes, I'd like to complain.

So I made my choice and moved on to other web comics, god knows there are enough of them.

nice metaphor. Or analogy. or whatever

On topic: The comic was kinda nice until it got serious. Now it's not very funny...

hate it for several reasons

1. Tim Buckley is a crap artist. Sure, he can draw well enough so that we can tell one character from another and know which game their from, but he is incapable of conveying a character's complex emotions with pictures.

2. There is an old adage among actors and writers, "you use words only when you can no longer tell the story through actions." As I've already pointed out, Buckley can't tell a story with pictures, so he relies on enormous speech bubbles to explain the character's feelings. Therefore, these bubbles must take up half the page in order to do that.

3. If someone is going to rely so heavily on dialogue and less on pictures, you would expect the writing to at least be good, right? Sadly, this is not the case. Here is an exert from the end of one of the story arcs.

Panel 1
Ethan:...And so I came up with the idea for these coupons...And they worked. But then...well, you know the rest

Lilah: Wow... I can't believe I missed all that. I'm...sorry I missed all that.

Panel 2
Ethan: No Lilah... I'M sorry...I SHOULD have told you what was going on at work. It would have prevented SO much of this. I just...wanted to show you I could take care of things. I didn't want to give you more to worry about. I know I'm not the easiest guy to be with...I make a LOT of mistakes. But I will never stop trying to be a better person for you.

Panel 3
Lilah: We learned the hard way that we HAVE to COMMUNICATE. Not just about the easy stuff, but the tough stuff too. Even if it hurts right?

Holy christ! Does anyone actually talk like this? Buckley goes about the writing with such ham-handed clumsiness that everyone who was following along up until that point will just skip it to see if there's a joke at the end. There's no subtlety! And as my good friend, the Robot Devil once said, "You can't just have your characters ANNOUNCE how they feel! That makes me feel angry!"
