Obviously your opinion may change as more information is released. However, with the information available to you now, do you plan on buying a next gen console?
Yup. PS4 for me, thanks.

As much as I like certain PC games, I HATE gaming on a PC. Sure, you now have to install games on consoles, but you never have to worry about whether or not your software is compatible, whether the specs are up to the game, or whether a Kickstarter page refreshing in the background is going to crash your game in the middle of a boss fight (which happened to me today).

Sure, I could buy a gaming computer. But then I have to mess with that gaming computer. I have to keep it nice and make sure it's up to spec to run everything I want to play.

Or I could buy a PS4 and not worry.

So PS4 gets my money.

I'll most likely be getting a PS4 at some point in time. I'm too much of a MGS- and Final Fantasy fanboy to not do so.

I'm fully on board the PC train for any multiplatform titles and I can live without most of the console exclusives, however developers in certain genres will insist on ignoring PCs so it'l likely I'll pick up one of the newer gen consoles at some point. It won't be an Xbone.

We just need to wait till E3 to get all the details really. I am pretty certain I'm not getting an xbone, it looks disgusting (they would need to pull out something incredible for me to get one the way things are looking). However I do plan on buying a ps4 as the Japanese appear to have some aversion to pc, so I cant just have my gaming pc because I wont get any of my much needed Jrpgs or side scrolling fighters.

Then again sony may do something disgusting which puts me off and I'll just have the pc :S

Already have a Wii U, but for some reason I can't consider it a next gen console, but that's a debate for another time if at all. Depending on all final information coming from the PS4, I'll more than likely lean towards that. I'm excited for the game The Last of Us, but that's still a PS3 game as far as I recall.

Just depends on the games and such really.

The Xboned......unless Microsoft gets it's head out of it's ass....no.......just fucking no.....here's hoping the PS4 controller is much more comfortable than the PS3's!

Maybe a WiiU, I want something that works for local multiplayer, but I'm waiting to see what actually comes out first.

The "lack of interest" is about as widespread as these forums.

You'll be surprised how many console buyers barely even surf the internet outside Facebook, there are untold millions of people who will buy next-gen consoles purely due to the fact they are next-gen.

I do more than play games on my computer, although that is a big chunk of my usage. I've had my eye on an upgrade for a few years now, and the recent comments by Microsoft and EA have only edified my decision to continue down that road.

Probably not for various reasons:

- I probably won't have the money for it for years to come.

- I still have plenty of PS3 games I want to play, and with my reduced gaming time that'll take years.

- PC gaming, with indie games and Steam sales, is just so much cheaper.

- I don't fancy the direction console gaming is going.
Hey, you stole most of those words right of my mouth! Give 'em back!

Among those reasons already listed, I'll add one for me personally: The next gen (very likely) won't have anything available to cater to my particular tastes. I like hard games (Super Meat Boy, for example), something that the current console market hasn't provided very much of. Heck, even on the PC scene, I have to dig around a bit to find games that I like. My preferences are the reason I've gotten into emulation and more involved in the indie scene, and for migrating to the PC camp.

Basically, the next-gen consoles have nothing to offer me.

As a Nintendo fan, I do plan on getting a WiiU sometime down the line. I also plan on getting the PS4 as well, but I am not sure whether it is going to be on launch day, or a bit later, still undecided on that. Never going to get an Xbone, avoiding that one like the plague.

Probably not at release. But I am looking forward to the PS4, if only for Infamous: Second Son.
Also, Sony appeared to give more than half a shit about games in their press conference, so I care more about them the Microsoft.

I got the Wii U on launch day, and also bothered to invest in the black premium model. I like what I've played of it so far and can't wait for Smash Bros., Zelda and a 3-D Mario platformer to arrive. I also like the look of the PS4 and will probably pick one up, maybe not at launch, but if they announce some more great launch titles, then we'll see. Xbox One, I was incredibly disappointed with and won't be getting at all unless Microsoft stops being giant dicks towards indie devs and also put more focus on games rather than other shit that can be done on an iPad. But I am intrigued by the promise of "15 exclusive titles, 8 of them being new IPs".

I'll be waiting atleast a year or maybe 2 as no games will be of any worth will be out for a fews year, also because there still producing games for ps3 and 360 and i might just wait for a price drop as as these consoles are looking expensive espically considering u get a kinect with xbox one

Nope. Transitioned from Nintendo handhelds to Nintendo consoles to Microsoft consoles throughout my years of gaming. I've always had a PC with some games on it at all points, but now it seems like I'm going to actually make the dive and get a PC GAMING RIG this console generation. All my gaming friends have had xboxes in the past so I've been playing on one, even though I greatly prefer the playstation for plenty of different reasons. But now seeing as both of the consoles are going to be nothing more that expensive social media and television machines, I'm definitely going to be going full PC with some DS on the side.

Edit: Just remembered that Nintendo released a "console" this generation too. Nope, not getting a Wii U ever.

I'm on the fence.

Right now I've mostly converted to PC gaming, and the only console that really has my interest is the WiiU. The only problem with the WiiU is its lack of games, hence why I haven't gotten one.

The PS4, I'm not sue about. The PS4 reveal wasn't all that interesting, but historically Sony has good exclusives so we'll see. Lack of backwards compatibility hurts it for me though. I barely have enough room for consoles I already have, much less 3 different PlayStation generations.

The Xbox One I already made my mind up about a long time before it was even announced. I don't want Microsoft's next console. There really aren't any exclusives that interest me anymore(We'll see if they can manage to fix that at E3). Then there is the subscription fee for basic online features that are free on all other platforms, and I've had bad experiences with their customer service. Combine that with the other stuff they're doing with the Xbone and all I can say is "nope".

Microsoft is going to have to pull something amazing out of their ass at E3 for me to even glance at them.

I've been a console gamer all my life. I've always been put off by the long installs, the lag, things crashing or being ridden with bugs with no solution, having to be online frequently for multiple reasons, and things of that nature.

This cycle, I'm finally taking my first step into the PC gaming world because consoles are incorporating more and more of those disadvantages while picking up new ones and eliminating many of the draws of a console.

PC's don't have new generations. We simply upgrade.

You can't play your old games on it? How sad...I'm playing Mario 3 on an emulator. Motion controls? I've got my mouse for that! PC Master Race FTW!!

Ha, ha...please don't report me

I've briefly contemplated the PS4 but I use my PS3 so little it's almost not worth having. I'll stick with the PC instead.
