Doctor Who is by far the best. And it counts because he is THE Doctor. And I know people will hate me for this but I think Tennant was one of the best doctors they have had. The show, when done right, is whitty and funny and silly and smart and dramatic all at once. Its just good TV.
Other than that Scrubs is OK for a dumb laugh and the characters are surprisingly more real than in shows like House. J.D. May be a rather pathetic man child but at least he responds to it in a real way as do his friends. They seem human for what its worth. I don't need to watch house as I have a five year old brother whos a bit spoiled so I get the same experience.

Can't watch House with my parents as ones a Surgeon (Dad) and the other a GP(Mum).
Dad: Its (blank)'s disease, its so easy to work that out. An intern could guess that.

Mum: If the hospital had to choose between the "expert" House or a nicer guy they knew who was mediocre, they'd take the latter. Everytime.

I love watching house as my mums a nurse. As such she laughs at practically laughs at anything he does. For one thing, she wonders how the hell house is still working.
Well medicine pretty much anywhere is bureaucratic (probably worse in America with no free health care), an effective doctor is often not the best in one area, but rather someone who can do his job well and navigate the system efficiently, smoothing out any ruffled feathers and keeping on good terms with everyone.Anonymouse said:

Finally people who work in hospitals are ordinary people too. If someone is an asshole, they won't like it, this will bias reports and influence decisions about hiring them again. There was a guy in a small town near mine who worked at two different practices, both in desperate need of another doctor, but neither extended an invitation to work there because of his attitude and personality.
I like Scrubs alot for the comedy, not so much for the (what I find) preachy drama parts. Whereas, House's comedic moments I don't find very funny, and its drama ones quite decent. Ultimately they're different shows that aim to do different things. I find them both pretty entertaining.
At the very least, they're more entertaining than All Saints here in Australia. That show is terrible.
