As someone who's 6'4" I always figured mine was average because porn. then I met a couple people who did porn in person and realized that everyone was a lot shorter than me and I'm pretty big just by virtue of being proportional.

Interestingly enough, the camera makes them look bigger. It's a similar principle to "The camera adds ten pounds."

And, beyond just what a camera inherently does, they use a lot of forced perspective and other camera shenanigans to make them even bigger.
There are a few porn stars who are genuinely monstrous and ridiculous, but for the vast majority it's all camera tricks, short guys, and Photoshop.

To be clear, Porn Stars use a method which adds ~1" over what Masters and Johnson does.

And all my rope(including rope for camping) and rope has to be kept in places without dirt getting into it. And I'm kind of fanatical about my rope not getting dirty as I'd like to be able to use it for years and years.

Well sure, but if you subtract an inch from the results and put 1/4 of the 10's into the 6's and 3/4 of the 10's into the 5's, they actually appear decently accurate to the bell curve predicted by existing studies.
In a sense, we still seem to be netting a fairly honest response set.
Far more accurate than expected, at least.

I usually am. But just in case, I'm getting that framed on my wall.

I don't really "get" any mindset to the contrary, but it's possible it simply comes down to a lack of educations. I've mentioned this a lot recently, but I know a lot of women who are clueless about their bodies, so it's hard to imagine the menfolk (or other penis-bearers) are going to have a clue either.

Fat collects around the base of the penis, causing you to lose some length. I believe it was Men's Health I learned that from. It's kinda common sense. So that tall skinny dude would have had a mushroom cap if he gained too much.

No, height doesn't determine penis size, but it does effect how big or small it looks compared to the overall person.
I'm larger than average, but I'm also much taller and wider than average, so everything ends up looking...average. If my body was only average weight/width, the relative size would look much bigger.

Size seems to have no real correlation to anything, so it's easily possible you might find an incredibly tall guy with small junk that looks even smaller because of how tall he is, just as you might find a guy who happens to be short with average junk, but his junk ends up looking huge relative to his overall body.

But regardless of the starting size, gaining body fat reduces the length since it accumulates in the fat pad around the base of the penis and some of the length essentially becomes internal. Losing body fat does indeed "increase" the length, by essentially revealing what is hidden.
