IGN had to review GTA IV in one weekend while PR reps handed them any delight they wanted. They were also allowed to post their gushing review before the embargo on all other publishers went up. Reviewers were not allowed to discuss cutscene length or install times for MSG4. Game Informer gave Mass Effect a perfect score while their review listed all the faults of the game in detail. Believe whatever you want, I trust what is in front of me.

And like others said above, I trust metacritic once the game has hit the market and people can say what they want about it. In a couple more days the real picture of the game will get painted.
