So in other words, you're pulling it out of your ass.
I do not have anything to point to with Killzone 2. What I described has happened countless times with other games.

IGN had to review GTA IV in one weekend while PR reps handed them any delight they wanted. They were also allowed to post their gushing review before the embargo on all other publishers went up. Reviewers were not allowed to discuss cutscene length or install times for MSG4. Game Informer gave Mass Effect a perfect score while their review listed all the faults of the game in detail. And I'm not the first person to point out that this entire system is flawed [http://weblogs.variety.com/the_cut_scene/2008/04/exclusive-revie.html].

Believe whatever you want, I trust what is in front of me.

*edit*

And like others said above, I trust metacritic once the game has hit the market and people can say what they want about it. In a couple more days the real picture of the game will get painted.

I find it hard to trust in any review really and seeing people hang so strongly on certain reviewers makes me shake my head. Reviews aren't supposed to be your opinion written through the words of someone else, they're supposed to be guidelines to help give you an understanding about some of the highlights (or issues) with the game. If you are one who depends on reviews to tell you to go buy a game then your giving into exactly what the companies who supposedly "buy" reviews want because essentially that's what critics nowadays are, nothing but giant salesmen who want nothing more than to wave a shiny new expensive product in front of your eyes. You want an honest review, write one for yourself after you finished the game because that's the only thing that should represent your opinion.

Doesn't anyone remember the Metal Gear Solid 4 fiasco?

This is what a publisher does:

They send a contract to a magazine. The contract says that they will get an early copy of the game if they agree to the following conditions: if they give the game a 80 or higher, they can publish the review early. People who are desperate for news on the game will click in droves, generating much needed cash for the magazine.

If they give it below an 80, they will not publish the review until release day. They will just be one of many reviews at that point.

Ergo, the only early reviews that are going to get published are positive. It is in no way a fair look at the game.
I thought the MGS4 fiasco was that they were restricted to speaking about loading times, cutscene lenght, and installs?

Besides, what other review sites havn't reviewed Killzone 2 yet? Atleast, the "trustworthy" ones.

But I see your point one way or another.

Exactly. I for one started to hate Blade Runner once I saw the Rotten Tomatoes rating. Artsy Fools! I thought. Deceiving me into enjoying something that not everyone else thought was brilliant! But the internets told me the truth about Blade Runner, and now I always criticise the plot- inconsistencies and scoff at the silly mistakes such a lauded film had. Indeed, the hype was to blame. But after the internets and the meta opinions - thankfully, now my life i much better, and I feel more in tune with the balance in the world! Omm, I say! Fucking Aohm!!

Killzone 2 looks kinda fun, and it scored just0.1 higher than resistance 2 on gametrailers. Hmmmmm....Resistance 2 or killzone 2? Both are very fun, both have awesome weapons, both have a great singleplayer campaign, both have great multiplyer, but resistance 2 has got 8-player co-op. And yet, i still can't decide.
Go for KZ2, it has bots, and I personally hated R2.

Hey, hey, hey. I'm an elitist....

Eh....indifferent. Killzone 2 was exactly what I though it would be judging from the reviews, but releasing them this early does raise my suspicions, but then I'm not getting it cuz I have only an Xbox360 so who cares?
