A dark endless spiral because you won't clean your room?
Whatever.
Play Earth Defense Force 2017 for the 360. It's radical good fun.

Hey, fellow Escapists. I just recently got dumped and have spent the majority of my time moping around my house, cleaning it over and over again, and looking at the ground.

Can you recommend any really enjoyable games that really suck you in? I'm going to spend a lot of time on my couch doing nothing at all, and I'm hoping that I can really get into a good game or two.

Don't feel limited by the "recent release" list either, if you have an excellent old gem let me know and I'll try to track it down. Thanks in advance for your help.

And if you came here to make fun of me due to the thread title, I will now supply what you want:

My life
An endless dark spiral
Go away mom
Never going to clean my room
You *****
bauldurs gate series (old but reveared as god in some countries), fallout 3 (surprising that a nuclear wastland can be so appealing) , god of war series (heh. Poseidon's rage ^^) , gears of war 2(awesomely scaled manly game for men) your not a loser man, everyone feels like hell when their dumped. i know the feeling :/

To the both of you if you want to argue using random swearing then feel free to join other forums.
you, sir/madam, have won the interwebs.

anyway, you gotta face up to your fears, go outside, and live life a little, go see your mates in the real world (not over teh interwebs) and make the most of it.

my 2 cents.

This is why I hate Emos - fucking losers the lot of them!

So you got dumped? Wow. Twelve months ago my girlfriend miscarried. I had to go through the emotional roller-coaster of becoming a father against my will, coming to terms with it, getting all psyched up and then having all those hopes and dreams snatched away from me. Do you know what I did? I did what men do! I got a grip and carried on with my life.

Go get another god-damn girlfriend.

Seriously people this was months ago, let's let this thread die. Whatever you have left to say, he doesn't care any more, he's over it.

Shit I clicked the wrong button but he sounds like a giant fucking pussy "Wah my girlfriend left me boo hoo" Why don't you try to find a like minded mate instead of just trying to bone the popular girls.

Research shows that DasMark is a giant loser...

In other news, Jedi are pretty boring.

Thanks for your advice, everyone. I'm going to grab a copy of Timesplitters tomorrow after work, since I've never even tried it before.

Also, sorry to ghey up your board like this. I just always noticed that you guys are incredibly polite for a forum and probably wouldn't crucify me for admitting to being bummed out.
Hey, we're all human here. At least, I think we all are.
Yep. That's me. I'm human. Definitley. Just an average, normal pathetic puny human!

Anyway, I would suggest a funny game like Eat Lead. For a gamer, that's a bad game. But it's incredibly cheap, and very witty.

That, or buy a GOOD (albeit depressing) mainstream game.

Go work out. That's what I do when I'm bummed, helped me thru my last break up pretty well. Not only are you doing something to take your mind off of everything but you also feel better about yourself. At least that's the point.

Its the Escapist. We're different here; we actually figured out that there's a person on the other side of the computer screen, so we try to make sure people know when they're being an idiot, or just to be polite and give people what they ask for.

Oh, and you can't go wrong with Timesplitters, you can play as a variety of monkeys. The game will beat the emo out of you.
