P.S. If you ever see a Latvian know that all Latvians have six toes and eat cockroaches so beware
I've worked with a Latvian, and she had very pretty toes (five on each foot, thank you), and a very conservative diet... don't know where that stereotype came from... o_0'

OT: London born and bred... but ethnically Chinese.

I live in Wales, Cwmbran to be exact, my father is English and my mother was Welsh, so basically the two parts of me constantly argue with each other.

How funny. I expected such insults from a Lithuanian, but an Estonian? I might have to demote you guys below Lithuanians, and that should be criminal.

Though I was raised Brooklyn, NYC, US of A, I have a Russian mother and a Latvian father. But if I had to say where I'm from, it would be New York.

It's a Baltic thing ;)
I'm also from Estonia (i was actually surprised someone posted that they are from Estonia in this thread, think there's like 6 of us that have marked "Estonia" under their profile or whatnot...).

Anyways, that Latvian thing is a joke, in a way like ...um... you know, like people from one country make fun of people from another country, but don't mean it? That still sounds awfully racist. Um, i think the English and Scottish or Irish have this sort of relationship, kinda...
But yeah, Estonians and Latvians get along very well, no hate, lots of love :3

Well, at least i hope the guy was making a joke... otherwise it would kinda suck...

As i said just above, I'm fairly certain he was joking. You know, like Canadians make fun of Americans and the other way around? Crap, I find it difficult to not ruin my country's already crappy reputation!
But yeah, I believe Estonians and Latvians and Lithuanians get along very well. Hell, my mother is Estonian and my father Latvian, so i should know xD!

Though, to be honest, they divorced, so...
War?
Still, i like the Baltic states, i find them to be my friendly neighbors.

Ah, thought it was a regional in-joke... sort of like when the English snidely remark about the Welsh farmers being overly friendly with their sheep, or the Scottish deep frying their [insert any plausible food stuff] etc.

But 'eating cockroaches' is a bit of a weird one... still, all in good humour.

Well, the jokes being said are the usual ones, you know, where you can switch the person being made fun of, and the joke would stay the same, like regarding light-bulbs and whatnot. Haven't heard any cockroach ones, tbh. But yeah, you got the gist of it, it's a lot like those examples you made.

Western Europe (Well, northern really...) - Sweden - Blekinge - Karlskrona. (Translation: Southern part of Sweden.)

Quite okay town really, way too windy though, the architecture and lay-out of the town is to blame. Where-ever I turn I've got the wind blowing in my face.
Other than that it's nice, snow in the winter, sun in the summer. Occasionally we get rain.
Good internet connection and lots of pretty girls.
Too bad there's no jobs to be found.

:/

Same... only southend of the country. So we have vikings, boats and fish and rain...
Bergen ey? Originally from Ålesund, I know how it is ;)
Stavanger as a matter of fact. Bergen has no wind so an umbrella works. In Stavanger the constant winds makes it rain sideways :<
