OT: I do this all the time. While I'm waiting for people to join a raid, let my character fish I'll usually play my DS, or freecell. A couple of times, I've tested L4D maps while waiting for people in a MMO.
Just last night i was playing fallout 3 and the new Yu Gi Oh game for the DS at the same time, it worked both sides of my brain, my Shoot first and ask questions later side, and then my thinking side.
I sometimes play WoW and then switch to Toribash and continue on whatever until my flight path is done.
I actually went up to playing three once. On my computer I was playing Football Manager, on one TV (the old one my Dad wanted to throw out but I asked him to keep) my N64 was playing Pokemon Stadium 1 or 2 (can't remember) then on the other TV (the one I bought) I was playing something can't remember right now. I think it may have been Devil May Cry 4 or Ninja Gaiden 2.
Normally if I play something I'll still be playing Football Manager 2010 since its a game that I feel doesn't demand absolute attention (it goes at my pace...I don't go at its).

When my 360 was in for repairs I tried completing FFX (completing=100%) after 199 lightning dodges I got so tired that I started playing starcraft. after a while I got bored of that too and so I picked up the ps2 controller again. after a while, I was siting with both of them. the funny part is that I actually won the SC match.
btw, I always watch shows on my computer while playing single player games on the TV.

Occasionally I have done this, while playing Metal Gear Solid 3.
Half of the times I was in alert mode I would be all "fuck this, I'm not getting spotted again," so I would just hide in some tall grass or something and play Scribblenauts while waiting for the counter to go down.

When I played WoW I would often have a window with Minesweeper, Audiosurf, or DDR open in the background while I was grinding or waiting for a raid to start.
I played Starcraft online with a buddy while at the same time playing Final fantasy 12.
Didn't end well, the opponent trampled over my ass with a few carriers and my buddy was yelling at me and I lost a boss fight in FF12, at the same time.
