I like all the shows on the list, except maybe for American Dad (it's just a poor man's Family Guy), but none of them make me smile like South Park. There's no random collection of jokes loosely connected to a plot, they just take one idea and go as far as they can with it before it gets too old or too offensive. Not-so-subtle social commentary is a plus too.

All those shows are great, but South Park really never appealed to me much. It's funny, at points, but overall it's just kinda stupid.

American Dad

Its often dismissed as a copy of family guy but it has separated itself from it and is now a good show in its own right

Futurama, now and forever. All the other shows lost their purpose (except maybe South Park), while Futurama had years of planned out stories and characters. Also, don't forget about the Critic.

Definitely South Park, it's incredibly funny and it deals with the issues of today in a unique way. Also I go to the same high school as the creators so that's a plus.

Futurama by FAR. Family guy was all right the first few seasons, its the show i watch when i want to watch retarded funny. I'll watch simpsons if nothing else is on, its a good show.
I don't like american dad very much, and south park is just plain terrible. I don't see how its so popular. It's just dropping F.U. every five seconds and the retarded kid jimmy or whatever dying, not to mention bad writing. i would rather try and eat my own ear then watch that load of crap.

South Park, I love it. But it's not like I dislike the others either. It's a really tough choice really.

I go with futurama, there seems to be more consistency in the quality. A lot of modern episode of all the others are either lame, or just go for the controversy angle, or of course both.

Also there is nothing worse than American Idol.
Not even Hitler.
I love you.

On topic, I prefer Family Guy, followed by South Park. I still watch American Dad and Simpsons, but to be quite honest, Simpsons hasn't been funny since... actually, I can't really say it's ever been funny to me.

It's still decent enough to watch, but it's just so dumb - I know, I know, Family Guy doesn't exactly showcase the most intelligent humor, but I still think you need more than the fragment of a brain you need to laugh at The Simpsons, no offence. And with the more recent episodes, it seems to try and be just that. Family Guy. And it's not doing it well. At all.

I can honestly say I was never bothered to watch Futurama, I don't really know why, i just never cared. If it had aired on tv, I might have watched it, but as far as I know, it never actually did, on decent hours, at least.

I seem to be in the minority here in that I prefer American Dad. It just has so many lines that just make me laugh for ages. Family guy comes a close second, it just seems to be getting a bit old recently. The simpsons is on a constant up and down slope getting better and worse. Futurama is probably just under family guy but above the simpsons (the latest movie was great though). I have to say though. I don't like South Park.

I have to say south park , it was the only one out of the list that i found for more than a few moments. Ilove the way that SP is not only willing to tackle the social issues of the day,but also be able to do it in a way that is offending to both liberals and conservatives. One of the main reasons I won't watch FG is because of the hate speech spewing from the left wing writers.

South Park.
Always up-to-date, always recent events.
There are a couple of episodes I could do without but most are great.

Simpsons are fun, I love 'em. But they're too... nice.
Futurama was great, too.

Family Guy is mindless, stupid fun. Nice to have every now and then. But not... constantly.

American Dad... meh.
I second this. All of it.
