I liked every episode of Family Guy from the first one to the last and hope that they will continue making more.

*Shrugs* I still enjoy it from time-to-time.

I'd much rather watch American Dad! or Futurama
Also will second this. I enjoy it, but I have a few other shows I'd watch over it, which include either of the ones mentioned above.

It became just... Stupid, the main issue with me is that they tried to make Quagmire relatable, like hes not a womanizing prick, he's only doing it because he was rejected by 2 woman, seriously, what the hell? They even made several episodes dedicated to trying to play this off, it happened to Stewie, Peter and then him, its more or less just a very bad drama show then a comedy show. Thats what shows start to do if they run out of ideas, or they try to make it SEEM funny, but really its just repeated. Family Guy is doing what Simpson's is doing, because they have gone on for too long, seriously, American Dad is better BECAUSE its new, but Family Guy, Clevand Show, the Simpsons, are all dead series with the burial reception taking a few decades because they can't remember what the dead series was ABOUT to begin with.

I love it 'cause it's one of the few shows that has had me ROFL IRL.
I admit though, sometimes they take it too far and lose the comic validity.

But I haven't met anyone yet who doesn't find the Cool Whip scene hilarious.

I like it to a certain extent. Seth MacFarlane is a funny talented guy but a lot of his jokes miss the mark and others are just plain stupid or annoying. He can be a good satirist but it is dumb humour, and sometimes far too dumb to even be enjoyable.

That being said I do watch Family Guy and it's worth a bit of entertainment. I don't think ever really laugh out loud but some things are worth a titter.

Sorry people, but American Dad is a vastly superior television show and a FAR superior comedy. Deal with it.

I love Family Guy although there is some bits I don't particularly like, like the long drawn out jokes.

I'm not too keen on the new episodes too, especially the one with Evil Stewie. I think that one was going way too far and seemed a bit, 'hurr hurr, loads of violence is bad, look what we can get away with!' I just didn't think it was funny.

Also, Bryan used to be 'the voice of reason' so to speak, now I think he just seems like the character with the interchangeable personality Seth MacFarlene uses to mock other people. When Bryan became Republican, for example.

Yay! It has some exceptional moments and it's reliably funny. My only issue is that bbc3 repeats too many of the same episodes over short periods of time so they lose their edge, but oh well.

Gah, yes! That's what annoys me about BBC3 showing it. You'd assume they had the rights to show all of the seasons, and there's been about 10 years worth of them, yet they show the same six episodes in a circle! D:

Wow I must say I'm quite surprised. As I type this there's actually more of the "Nay" option - including me.
I hate it. I don't understand why it's so popular at all. If it's one thing I have going for me it's a good sense of humour, but FG just doesn't make me laugh at all.

I thought it was going downhill for a while, but I think the latest series (the one showing in the uk now) is pretty good.

Before it was cancelled, it was pretty good to be honest. I legitimately enjoyed it. The later seasons? I'll have them on as background noise if nothing else. I'll tolerate it on while I'm in the room. So ya, I just won't answer the poll. It was never a GREAT show, but it was decent enough for a couple seasons.

Loved the first few seasons, I even own them on DVD. Then the flanderization of characters, outright change of personality for some (Stewie - evil genius was great, but Stewie - flamboyant gay doesn't click with me), and already overlong jokes going on even longer (as much as half of episode) drove me off. Oh, and becoming a platform for writers' views. Subtle political jabs are OK in my book. Outright preaching destroys the show.

I'm surprised by the poll results. I actually thought more people would say yes. I said no myself although the show isn't that bad really. I love all the pop culture references they burn through just to construct a single episode. I think what kills it for me though is the overuse of crude humor on there or whatever you want to call it. It's the same way I feel about Drawn Together. That show has it's moments but most of the time it's just too much.

It's just a very lazy show.

It can be actually funny if it wants to be, but 90% of the time it goes for the easy gag. The perfect example is the amount of drug jokes this show has which is the laziest form of comedy imaginable.

Its not terrible, there have been a few shows that made me laugh , but the whole puking thing kinda puts me off the show. American Dad is better in my opinion.

I don't usually watch TV that often, but if I'm flicking through and see it's on I'll watch it. (We don't get much Family Guy broadcast in the UK as far as I'm aware)

It's pretty funny and good to pass the time, but I wouldn't buy a box-set DVD or anything.
We do get it, but on fx and bbc 3

I've seen them all up to Series 7, haven't watched it since. I loved the first series (i.e. the ones I just said) but I think it's gone downhill since then.

Absolutely loved it.

Then season 5 or so rolled around and as of now I despise it.

I hate it primarily on a technical level, which is difficult to try and explain to people as a valid argument. With the newer seasons, I am bored senseless watching it. Try muting the show as you watch, and see if the animation makes it entertaining even in the slightest. Everyone is the same stock height, same five expressions and blocky expressive hand motions, and because of that it's just gross for me to watch. There's also the four different voice actors they use for every background character, and it's been years since I could remember a subtle joke.

And there's no excuse whatsoever to play a three minute music video to eat up time. They've done it three times.
Glad to see I'm not the only one who is utterly disgusted by what the animation has become in that show. It's just... soulless and lazy. Like the newer jokes.

It really should've ended 'round season 5 or 6. It's just gone horribly stale in both humor and visuals since then.

A year ago, it would've been easy to vote "Yay" for me, but even though

1) It hardly ever is as good as pre-cancellation
2) It was never THAT great to begin with

the quality of FG gone down HARD since then...

It has it's moments. It's something that you can turn on, watch and get a chuckle from, but it's not something engaging.

I like it, I go for a 51% Yay.
