I know a lot of us hate Fox News, so since I couldn't find another one, I figured I'd make a thread about them.

For those of you that don't know, Fox News is a news station in the US. They are extremely conservative and have been known to create controversy just to get publicity. One of their favourite target for made up controversy is video games. I remember having seen a clip from the ME controversy, with an interview and a discussion. And it was so obvious that no one from Fox News knew anything about games, and most nothing about games at all. Which begs the question, why do they do a story about video games and not have qualified reporters? And if they couldn't find any on staff, then how are they justified to even do the story? Just make up a controversy about something else, why video games?

The thing that bugs the most is the fact that no one seems to stand up to them. Sure, if they attack a company personally they will defend themselves, but why are they even allowed to spread these lies? Since it's free publicity for the games, they have never been sued for damages, and this really annoys me. This is text book slander, and it's illegal.
And it's not just games, they frequently do reports on things they have no actual knowledge of.

When the hell will people start pushing back to Fox news?? They fucking deserve it!!! They represent everything that's bad with America, and I'm tired of it! [/rant]

This is the place to ***** and discuss about Fox News. Now, I must admit that since I'm not an American I don't know much about the actual Fox News, only about all the bad things that are said about it. So I'd also love to hear justified praise towards them. So share videos and articles, anything about Fox News, because I'm interested to both learn more about them (and maybe see why they are even allowed on air) and hear your opinion.

Well, I've seen Glenn Beck tell a woman that euthanasia is where the government elects to kill you if you're too much of a financial burden, and I've seen Bill O'Reilly categorically state that Stephen Hawking (he actually kept calling him Hawkings) has no explanation for the moon or the tides.

Their biggest and "best" are a bunch of manipulative morons (or geniuses, depending on how you look at it) who receive viewing figures they probably sold their souls to the devil for.

Glenn Beck even blames the Jews for Jesus' death for fuck's sake.

Don't even get me started on that fucking chalk board of his.

I've watched this documentary [http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0418038/] and quite frankly I'm not impressed with this "news service". I'm quite glad that the Canadian version of the network was denied access last year. We don't need "fair and balanced" news here.

I don't want them to burn in hell but I'm really not a supporter.

Yes well, we know that. I couldn't give a flying shit about religion, I still no the bloody basics - the guy's just anti-semetic and has delusions about Christianity, but then you'd have to if you thought the moral of the Bible (apart from all the murder, incest and whatever else) was to treat everyone else like shit because they're poorer than you.

Because Fox news is the word of (Conservative) Republicans, and in this day and age, to go against them is to make half the country think you're in leagues with Bin Laden and you're a terrorist who wants to destroy America. And thats just bad rep.

Actually, what bothers me is its right wing propaganda really, and they seem to have a Nazi fetish. Seriously. Plus the chick that hosts their morning show is pants on head retarded. And that Bill O'Reilly is some kinda national father figure, and he doesnt know how waves work.

But then again, I'm a Democrat, and thus biased, but I just dont like anyone there. I dont like any big political figures and such, but Fox news is the worse, cause they're dangerous. People actually honestly believe them, and they do FM radio in my area. So yeah.

Flat out, dont like them, but I dont think tehy need to be destroyed. Educated would help. Or just have the entire cast replaced.

Look, I'm fine with some of fox news reporting. Yes, they have an obvious bias. So does EVERYTHING else. That said, I completely ignore their video game news group, which needs to get a new brain cell, their only one is wearing away fast.
Custer's Revenge was (thankfully) a LONG time ago. Let's move on, Fox video game division.
It's like Rush Limbaugh. He's not the devil people think he is, if you take the time to read his work, he is not nearly as crazy as EVERYTHING makes him out to be.
Fox isn't the best, but they are by far not the worst.
For any news outlet, you should double check stories. I trust very little without multiple sources, and I like comparing viewpoints between Fox, NBC, and CNN.

Fox news is a group of incredibly talented manipulators that twist media in their own favor.

Bill O'Reilly doesn't believe a word he's saying; he's a smart guy. He's just doing it to trick people. The people at Fox News have one task, and that is to control those who watch it and to form their opinions for them.
