I like the Cyborg R.A.T series mice.Deviate said:Hence the Saitek X52 joystick I use (and put a picture of). Saitek can't compete on the mice/keyboard/headset side, though.RhombusHatesYou said:I'd put a lot of Saitek gear equal to Logitech... unfortunately for me, Saitek is a pain in the arse to find where I live.Deviate said:there is just no comparing any of the rest with Logitech's products.
All my peripherals besides my headphones and joystick (which is also a Saitek X52, but not the pro one like yours) are Logitech. They make good stuff for a good price.Deviate said:snip
I'm thinking a lot of these have similarities:Yosharian said:Gorfias said:Do you have a gaming mouse on your PC? If so, have you programmed it at all?
I've got a Coolermaster Sentinal. So far, I make pretty colors with it, but that's about it.
I'm looking forward to programming the buttons for some of my favorite games (You would not believe the button combos necessary in Alice, Madness Returns, that could be done away with one good macro. But it all seems so blooody exhausting!
Does anyone really do this? Is it as daunting as I fear?![]()
I recently tried to switch to a Diablo 3 mouse because the clickers on the Ikari sometimes doubleclick when attempting single clicks. I had to stop using it from wrist + hand pain after a day. I play a LOT, and the ergonomics of ambidextrous mice just aren't good enough. Luckily I was able to return it cos it kept fucking up my USB interface somehow.
TL;DR - I love this mouse because its ergonomics relieve a lot of the stress and strain on my hand.
I'm seeing a lot with an indent for the thumb (for righties like me anyway), buttons just above, and two just underneath a wheel that can be depressed and a couple more rocker type buttons above the thumb.Yosharian said:Er, why? That one looks awful.Gorfias said:I'm thinking a lot of these have similarities:

Bit off topic, but the best deals I've been getting are from Steam. Watch for their sales. You do need to be online, and you have to worry: if these people ever go under, all your games become hard drive clutter. Unlikely, I think they are on top.chozo_hybrid said:I just have a standard mouse, seems to do the job for me. But will eventually replace, just got into PC gaming properly in the last few months see.
Any recommendations for one? Budget is about 60 US dollars.
If you look at my profile, I have a Steam account xD But thanks for the info none the less, one thing I will tell you, I read somewhere that if Valve/Steam ever went under, they would send out a patch for each game apparently that would stop the drm or something.Gorfias said:Bit off topic, but the best deals I've been getting are from Steam. Example of a value: I got fantastic game, Fallout 3 New Vegas with 4 expansions: total $9.99. I can play, one at a time, any computer I log into on steam as long as I have that game loaded.
Batman Arkham City with a great graphics card is just about the best anywhere, ever.
Some are writing that Skyrim is not a game. It is a way of life. I think it very pretty.
I do like the extra comfort from a slightly more expensive mouse, but unless I really program this:trollpwner said:*Watching idiocracy with family.
*Claim people aren't really that stupid.
*Sees a thread with people claiming that you need a £50 mouse to be able to have a good gaming experience.
*Starts to wonder....
Nah, I'm kidding. But I do think that it's a case of diminishing returns with these mice. For £5, you get a fully functional mouse. You certainly don't get 10X of the experience of a cheap optical one.
Glad to read you're getting into PC gaming (though I still love my consoles.) Interesting news about Steam, very good to know. I spent about $50 on $300 in games on the Summer sale that I'd hate to lose. Hope you got some great sales too. There was an entire thread devoted to them.chozo_hybrid said:If you look at my profile, I have a Steam account xD But thanks for the info none the less, one thing I will tell you, I read somewhere that if Valve/Steam ever went under, they would send out a patch for each game apparently that would stop the drm or something.Gorfias said:Bit off topic, but the best deals I've been getting are from Steam. I've bought games on special with them when I didn't have a PC to play them on, because I knew one day I would.
