I suspect that my last breakup was somehow related to the frequency that I hung out with my friends playing MW2 instead of hanging out alone with the girlfriend in question.

If I ever played for a long time where it annoyed her, I just treated her to something special if you know what I mean, problem solved :D

No. I cannot say that has ever happened to me.

My current girfriend actually likes gaming, but 3D games make her dizzy so she sticks to her DS and my old NES. Once in a while she'll play a 2D game for the Wii or else we'll play some Rock Band, which is fun.

World of Warcraft stole me from my girlfriend. The day I got it I played on it for a whole 8 hours, while she was in my room being bored shitless just forcing herself to watch crappy TV. I didn't realise 8 hours had passed.

But no, never had any arguments or anything like that, although certain games absorb me and she got used to that :p

Yeah, we aren't together anymore, though :p
Awww...don't let that game steal relationships. Orrr..if you can't help it find a girl who plays WoW. XD

Never had any problems, then again I do not date! I am married to my hobbies wewt.
Which funnily enough encompasses WoW too... But thats not the cause! I just don't socialize well, never have even before I started playing.

Sometimes I really feel like playing games while I'm with her, but can't, then as soon as she's busy and I have some game time I just wanna spend that time with her... that's just annoying!

has your girlfriend/boyfriend(for the ladies too) ever broken up with you or have you had major problems because of your gaming time?

(we all know, a mate can get extremely....nagging and annoying, and its nice to sit down to some game time and not have the game nag back at you, but give you the pleasure you deserve)

No. Because I'm mature enough to know that inviting a guy over and then not paying attention to him is stupid. Once a man learns the same, he tends to have much better luck with his girlfriends.

I answered Little bit, because it's varied between relationships.

I played WoW so much that it gave me a few issues with my first long term boyfriend, more because I just wasn't interested in ANY other games. We broke up for unrelated reasons.

My second major boyfriend was PAINFULLY insecure, and forbid me from playing any MMOs. He was convinced that they were the reason the aforementioned relationship died. We broke up for reasons related to him forbidding me to do things in general.

My current boyfriend and I are both MMO hoppers and MMO addicts. We've played WoW, WAR, AoC, Champions Online and Aion together. Working on Mortal Online to see how that works out. It's the most fun I've had in a relationship so far, and MMOs have made us closer.

you seem to be extinct
I I’m looking everywhere for a girl that even knows what games are and even that seems to be impossibly hard
Im sorry, we hide out in small packs around coffee shops and at home more often than not. D:
Keep searching, the encounter will some day come.

It sounds like you are very comfortable when you are with her, which is why you want to play games while she is around, you are content when she is around and feel a little lost when she isn't. :)

No girlfriend for me yet, there have been no break-ups due to games. Though if I did have a girlfriend, I would put her before the games, so I don't think I will have a break-up due to games once I have a girlfriend.

That's really sweet, I guess you're right =] she and I do play a bit of classic Crash Team Racing together and when I told her I got Left 4 Dead 2 she got really excited to play co-op =P

No, but I do get the horrible feeling at 18 coming up 19 that if I'm ever going to get a girlfriend, I may have to quit gaming. :G

Me and my girlfriend never fight over games... I wish I could say that.
gaming leads to arguing, like everything to cancer. ofc if I sit up an entire night
playing WoW or team fortress 2 she gets "Annoyed" with me. in the kind of "No sex for you"
...so I have to LAN with my frieds to get to stay up all night xD

But as she is a heavy Sims gamer and an X-Wow gamer she has understanding about my urge to play games, and if I am talkable to she don't have a problem with it.

Nope. Don't spend enough time on video games. I used to play video games for crazy amounts a week, but I've slowed up since I've gotten more into music.
