Fortunately for me my girlfriend is into gaming too, so I don't get any flack about playing.
When you break up with her, give her my number or her sisters... whatever...

Nope. Mostly cause I've never had a girlfriend. But I don't game as much as before. I'm not as much of an addict anymore.

No, I tend to prioritize her over video games. Hell, she actually likes that I'm a gamer because that means I can "Keep myself entertained" am not clingy-obsessive.

I've gotten my G/f into gaming.
for example, yesterday we spent about 9 hours just playing matches on Smackdown vs Raw 2010

The only girlfriend I ever considered a girlfriend used to text me World of Warcraft news even though she wasn't a gamer.

She would just put on the end '-Just thought you wanted to know since you like it'

Too bad that didn't work out...

Stupid sudden on-sight of pseudo-psychosis.

I never had any girlfriends, there were however 2 girls that I had a serious interest in (not counting crushes), 1 was neutral on the subject, could've gotten her into gaming as well.

The other one was a weird case, she both liked the fact that I gamed and was intrigued by it (she was dýing to try out Oblivion) but she equally mocked me for it. Very strange girl, later I found out she was a small-minded bigot, so my interest in her dropped like a brick.

Also, all you heretic supporters of the Veggie Monster, the Cookie Monster is your true lord and master!

Nope, I haven't been ditched due to playing too many games... Then again, I only started gaming heavily after my last girlfriend left me, and since then I haven't had a new one...

Hmm, maybe the two are connected...?

(we all know, a mate can get extremely....nagging and annoying, and its nice to sit down to some game time and not have the game nag back at you, but give you the pleasure you deserve)
All about which you think is more important: the pleasure of an uninterrupted video game, or the pleasure of the company of the person you at least supposedly love. If you actually loved that person, it would be a no-brainer which one you should choose. "its nice to sit down to some game time and not have the game nag back at you, but give you the pleasure you deserve" I see which side you take on that note. You little shut-in, you. :) Maybe you might be better with a Japanese girlfriend doll. It won't nag and can only pleasure you.
Spoken like a true man who does not know what having a girlfriend is like.
So I bought my wife overseas? My girlfriend before her was a robot? Look at it this way: a person is NEVER more important than a game. What do you prefer more: human companionship or a toy? Video games being that toy. Only a complete shut-in or a friendless dick would prefer playing a video game to actual human interaction. That or a WoW player.
And maybe there's a difference between how we view the term "girlfriend." Maybe you mean "some girl I keep around for the sex but who has absolutely nothing to do with my personal life."

you are very lucky my friend,

any girl i have ever known is either a complete hater on games or they are WEIRD as fuck (in a bad way...) and are anti socializer's so getting that as a girlfriend isn't good either

you are very lucky to find a good balance

No. My gf knows how much i love video games, so she doesn't try to stop me, and she doesn't complain about it. In fact, we sometimes play Super Mario World or Donkey Kong Country co-op when she comes over.

Nope. I tend to be fine with these sort of things, because I usually go for a girl who's a match for me anyway.
E.g. second last gf was a gamer girl. She went to most of the local Lans, enjoyed CoD, every now and then when I went over to her place for a while we'd play a bit of Halo 3, etc...
Broke up about earlier this year for unrelated reasons.

Even my first gf, who was a bit of a "girly girl" (to use such a term), didn't mind.
Occasionally she gave me a bit of flak for it, but only jokingly. :p

So, yea... I tend to find the girls who I work well with, before entering into a relationship with them. o_O

My boyfriend and me are both gamers though we hardly ever play together. One day I went over to his house because we were going to go to the beach. Instead we watched TV then I got to watch him play uncharted 2 for an hour. He had just got his PS3 and didn't have an extra control either. I don't get how people can watch other people play games. It bores me to tears. So I told him I was going home and then he got upset I didn't want stay.

That's the closest we've ever got to a video game arguement.

Nah...I could never date a guy who didn't play video games & read comic books. I guess maybe complications couls arise if we had severely different opinions on what was good & what sucked though.

My GF had some issues with my recently. Incidentally, we had no notable issues with it for the first few years, but as we got closer and started spending more time together (with her spending 3+ days in a row at my place) it started to come up as an issue. However, she learned to accept it and I learned not to game too much while she's around, and to break up my gaming session every once in a while to spend a bit of time with her.
