Poll: Gold or Silver? - A Quick Question

I pay for gold even though I don't use it all that much. It is just nice to know I can if I want to without hassle.

And no the reason I don't use it isn't because of the stereotypical XBL gamer (which I rarely hear since I am capable of using the mute option) but just due to the fact that I don't have a router and buying the next new game always seems more important than using the money to buy one.

Gold. I use it for co-op gaming with friends that I no longer live near several times each week, so it's been well worth the almost negligible cost, as far as I'm concerned.

EDIT: Okay, in all seriousness, it depends on how much you're going to use it. What do you play primarily on a console? Singleplayer/Splitscreen and DLC or actual Multiplayer? If the former, stick with Silver. If the latter, cross over to Gold.

I discovered something quite odd a while ago. I used a voucher-thing to get 2 days free trial on Xbox Live after my free account had run out. After inputting the code, it still said that I had silver. I went on to lots of games such as Naruto: The Broken Bond and GTA4, and I could play them online. Strangely enough, the only game I could access online was Halo 3, matchmaking was blocked, but I could still play online custom games.

I don't know if this is a mistake or a very big scam. Either way, I could still play most of my games online with Silver membership.

Nah, it just defines which one you can get at Level 40 before the Elite Four. When you go to Kanto, go to Pewter City and speak to an old man that's walking around there. He'll give you an item that will make a Level 70 legendary from the opposite version appear in its respective place.

In reality i have a silver membership with a 1 month gold trial right now because my 360 RRoDed.
