Damn, thought this was a thread on a psychotic english doctor who uses his brilliant wealth of knowledge of magic to diagnose the conditions of the students that walk into the Hogwarts infirmery.

Anyway, I would probably fall into Slytherin

In the online quizzes I took it was pretty split between Gryffindor and Ravenclaw, but I went with Gryffindor as people always see me as a pretty chivalric person (and red and gold lions are cool).

In North America, I could see a wizarding school being in a remote part of the Rockies tucked away from the rest of the country.

Depends on whether my laziness would get me kicked out of consideration for Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw.

I'd probably wind up in the latter, I suppose.

Or yet in wise old Ravenclaw,
if you've a ready mind,
Where those of wit and learning,
Will always find their kind;

Yeah, I kinda feel emphathy for them most. They seem to be the most dedicated to studt, rather than reckless courage, hard work or EVIL!

[sub] yes, I know Slytherin aren't evil, just ambitious but really, JK could have done a much better job of writing them to dispell (ha ha) that notion[/sub]

That and their common room is really awesome.

I think it comes from a much deeper well. A lot of nerds have rather over-inflated opinion about their intelligence, on the internet no less.

Not that it matters, I'd like to see someone try to objectively measure it.

House: Magic Doctor

I voted the 'buttons' option. But Ravenclaw sounds the coolest of the lot.

I think I'd have to mix the traits from all the houses and make up my own house "Solo". Although if i only had to pick 1 house, id have to say Griffindor only because i like the idea of couragious students (don't want the arrogant ones though)

slytherin according to a dozen online tests and claims from friends who are die hard border lining creepy level fans and they had some valid points. though they come of as complete evil, not too mention dicks, in the books though i blame that on the fact that JK just wanted to demonize them to make the griffindors seem even more chivalrous and good.

I haven't read all the books, and have only watched 4 of the films when they were on TV. But from that, Slytherin, because I would have Alan Rickman as my teacher.

It's a tossup between Ravenclaw and Gryffindor, becuase I've got very little self preservation instinct and an incredibly active moral compass, but I prefer to hang back and logically work through any given problem before I act; I also have an unhealthy love of reading and learning new things. So yeah. I have no idea where that puts me.

Or perhaps in Slytherin
You'll meet boys and chicks,
Who, just like you,
Are a real bunch of...
So, yeah. That's where I'd go. Not big on the empathy.

I personally found the house system a bit stupid, just because I was intelligent and driven at age 11 doesn't mean I am now 6 years later. People change over time. The house system just seems to enforce the sterotypes leading to segregation.

That all said, I like buttons. I don't think there's a house that would take me.

Hey, the three Protagonists were just as "cunning" and crafty as any Slytherin, I think it's safe to say most people have a mix of the qualities. But which do you think is most prevalent?

Also, the books also mentioned that they "sort too early", which also seems a bit of a copout.

And yeah, I don't think we saw a fair side of Slytherins.

You have no fucking idea how much I love buttons.

But yeah, I really have no idea. Taking into account the whole element thing, I'd say maybe Hufflepuff.
Although Gryffindor is also a possibility if you count an idiotic lack of fear as courage.
Toss up between the two, maybe.

I am either Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw.

Because i'm definetly not daring or do I think about myself for most situations.

This season on "Celebrity Apprentice" Team were selected to create a three-dimensional walk-through preview of "The Wizarding World of Harry Potter," and to present this to the Executives of Universal, as well as the harshest critics, young Harry Potter fans, aged perhaps between 7-14. I was intrigued by how one team as part of their exhibit, allowed the kids to wear the Sorting Hat, and then randomly assigned them Houses. I wondered just how many kids got insulted when they get sorted into a House they feel they didn't belong in.

As for me, I decided from Book 7 my House. I pick Hufflepuff. When I learned Ravenclaws must reason out a riddle everytime they want to visit their bedroom, I became afraid of being locked out. I then reasoned by that logic that I'd locked myself out of both Ravenclaw, *and* Griffindor. Hey, at least I can get a snack from the kitchens anytime I want, and I don't have to climb all those stairs!

No one ever suspects the Hufflepuff..
