Poll: Has Naruto gone too far now?

Agreed on One Piece (anime, don't read the manga), I don't read either Bleach but I've been planning to, I only watch it. Is it worth it?

Hmm, well, this depends. Bleach, like Naruto suffers from "filler episode" syndrome. However, I find some of the Bleach fillers to be quite good, like the whole Zanpakuto arc.
The anime is catching up pretty close to the manga, and the fighting is more fun to watch in the anime.....buuuuuuuut the manga doesn't dick around. Still, the anime answered a lot of unanswered questions the manga left open, so personally I'd just stick with the anime.
(If there is a manga to read, it's one piece. I don't even think the series is halfway done yet.)

There was a pretty nasty spoiler I had thrust upon me, so I don't touch One Piece manga for now, only anime, which is great stuff anyway.

And you're right, that could go on for another decade.

I like the original series to a point until it all became filler and the Shippuden till Sasori, you know.

I didn't stop liking it because it became really popular or because there was too many characters, I just found this one scene in the Shippuden series so unbelievably stupid that it made me quit Naruto altogether. What a shame to, I was enjoying it.

I read the manga every week and I think it's not nearly as bad as people say it is. However after the Pain arc it really started to get drawn out and fights would build up to nothing.

Ive been watching Naruto since i was 14 years old. Am now 20 going on 21. i recently let go of my cable service and decided to go on hulu. i watched a few anime series and decied to watch naruto since i didnt even get past the chunin exams. i thought the series wouldve came to a end already since its been like 5 years. i watched the naruto then the shippuden version. well watching the series it went really no were i even skipped aLOT of 'filler' episodes just to get to the end. It turns out the series isnt even close to done. he still has to battle so many members of that klan that want him and still the battle with sauske, we still dont know who he will chose sakura or hinata, and we dont know when or if he becomes hokage. so yea for a series going on for 5 years it has gone on to far with still the same questions that we've prolly all had since the first 10 or 20 episodes from when he was a kid. Am so Over it. ill prolly look it up in another 5 years to see him barley become Hokage.

I target this flaw as being the 26 episode trend. It ruined anime after anime where the manga was over the top and quite amazing.

I always wondered, why does it have to be 26? Does this have some deeper meaning or did just some guy come one day and said 'From now on, every series is going to have exactly 26 episodes!'?

If you actually bothered to pay attention to the canon material (manga only, the anime is just sub-par except for the major battles), you will see that there is a great flow in how the story is told and how the character are developed. Sure, naruto might still be the same old kid but with more firepower, and a bit more brain thanks to his experience that now put him on Hokage-level at such a young age, but even the changes in Sasuke's character are damn interesting unless you are one of those guys who need the main character to be a Mary Sue. Also, unlike Bleach, minor characters do get a chance at some screen/paneltime There wasn't a single moment in Naruto where I felt I didn't have any clue of what was going on or why this and that happened unlike Bleach.

i used to like it. but then, it too popular. now there is so many freakin characters i have not got a clue what is going on. the mangas never stop coming! Seriously, there should be a limit to how far it can go.

No, I think the manga hasn't gone too far. There is still much to be resolved. The only problems I have with it are, yes, there are quite a few characters and he doesn't do enough with them, despite them being pretty well developed, and that damned cop out he did at one point in the manga.

That being said though, I love it. Not the American one though, that one can go die in a fire.

Yes, but One Piece has been consistent, and consistently good for 12 years.

One piece is the only exception of these crappy long running Anime shows as One piece actually has a pretty decent story and is generally fun to watch.

The huge problem with Naruto and Bleach is firstly they feel like an investment of time rather than an anime. Naruto is almost near or over it's 500th episode and for new people or people hopping out it feels like a commitment. I used to love Naruto (not weebo style but I got pretty regular viewings and duscussed it with friends) however Shippuuden came along and utterly destroyed it with the constant flip flopping to plot/filler. Ohhhhh look information for 4 episodes then almost up to 50-60 episodes of non sensiical crap is just not good content. It's like watching True Blood and nothing happens for 50 episodes.

2, The filler stories are ALL THE SAME as in x amount of attacking ninja seeking target y.

3, the characters are all generalizations with no development at all bar sasuke or naruto

4. the story I believe or Kishimoto's aim has been utterly lost or forgotten
