I truly cared for Sheva in RE5,
I loved every member of my family in the Godfather 2 (Exept for you, BILL!)
I was best freinds with Charon in Fallout 3,
Every squad member I've ever had in a COD game, from Kelly to Gaz to Resinov,
Meh Puppy from Fable II,
My entire gang from Saints Row 2.
And most of all, Every single one of my squadmates in GOW. (Exept for you, KIM!)

The list goes on, I find myself caring deeply for the characters in game I enjoy.

No so much in games I dont though.

"Whats that Wrex? You want me to save your species? WELL SUCK ON THIS FOO'!"

Edit: OH! HOW COULD I FORGET CLANK AND DAXTER!?!??! FORGIVE ME PS2 GODS!!!!!!
Edit edit: OH! HOW COULD I FORGET SPARX!?!??! FORGIVE ME PS1 GODS!!!!!!

People will proably call me crazy but I did like my sidekicks in Gears of War.

I thought that Dom had an interesting story and Baird had his moments of comedy with his sarcastic remarks. I only care for Cole because he is an over exagerated character. very over the top and that really makes the Character.

Farah in Prince of Persia, the Sands of Time.
I was heartbroken when she... you know...
Wait, wasn't that the donkey you never see? lol if you that's the joke.
I think the donkey was named after a character from Sands of Time who was also called Farah

Fawkes, Charon, and Companion Cube.

In Fallout 3 they were really great since you had a lot of control over them, they actually HELPED in combat, and could carry a lot of stuff for you.

I'm gonna go for Dog and Alex Vsnce. I know everybody says it but they really are the least annoying support character I've ever encountered.

Mass Effect: I debated for a while over the "choice," even though neither one of them was in my party.
Portal: It took me a while to euthanize my companion cube, although that had more to do with my surprise at that I had to do it.
(I'm gonna take some shit for this) Fable 2: I had an evil character, so the choice at the end of the game should have been easy, but because the dog had such a direct impact on the game throughout, it took me a really long time to make my decision. Let's face it, that dog was helpful, particularly in the beginning of the game, when you had no supplies, it found you lots of gold.

Kyle Katarn from Jedi Academy. What better sidekick than a nearly invulnerable Jedi Master?

The raven from Prey.

Didn't talk, didn't whine constantly . Just translated signs and pissed off the enemies.

Useless or not, I cared about my dog in Fable 2. Whether or not he was worthwhile was another story...

I guess Cortana would be the most worthwhile sidekick I've ever had. Or maybe Meryl or one of the supporting cast from Metal Gear Solid.

Oh, I know! How about Slippy and Ashley! [/sarcasm]

The exact same answer everyone else is giving, Alex Vance because Valve actually made her do smart things.
