I will get it pirated since I heard its single player is so short and its multiplayer ruined by the dedicated server issue so not worth $89. Pirate version will come out soon in Arabian countries and will be very cheap.

I WAS going to buy it original from steam.

I did not buy the game. Why pay 110 dollars for 4/5 hours of SP and no MP?

Yes thats right, no MP. As where I live has meh internet and is the butthole end of Australia, I can play on ded servers with a ping of 90-130, when it's P2P its in the 400/500 zone. Thus meaning MP would be a throwback to the days of dial up.

Yes, as long as you call my wallet my mouth. I left every penny that was going to go to MW2 in my wallet and I will not buy the game. I'm so annoyed that I won't even bother pirating it.

IMHO they picked a really bad time to pull something this stupid. There are a TON of good games out or coming out. For my FPS fix alone I already have Borderlands and next week I'll have L4D2 which and I will have completely forgotten about MW2. That's not even counting Dragon age and a ton of other awesome non-FPS games that are out or coming out.

Borderlands
L4D2
The Saboteur(Not a FPS, but still looks wicked)
Bioshock 2
Battlefield: Bad Company 2

I got it discounted for almost nothing and considering MW1 is still almost at full price after this long I'm getting it now. With that said, the multiplayer is shit.

I did.
Since the single player is only 4~5 hours, I'm not even going to pirate it. If a game takes more time for me to pirate than to play, then it's not worth my time to pirate.

(Just kidding. I don't pirate games.)
Afraid the FBI might read this thread and illegally use that as grounds to search your computer?

Ah paranoia, you are so much fun
I'm in Canada. FBI has no jurisdiction here, and CSIS doesn't seem to care much.
:D
Just be careful, the FBI have ears and jurisdiction EVERYWHERE, see that penguin outside your window? It's not really a penguin...

Yeah, I was kind of interested in it for the singleplayer campaign, but decided that Borderlands looked more interesting. Totally worth it so far.

Yes, yes I did. Until it proves itself otherwise Acitvision can't have my money.
Can I have it? Maybe if you give it to me as a check, along with a letter, you can get your own article on the escapist!
Why yes you certainly can.

Seems to me that all the PC gamers are complaining about no dedicated servers when console gamers put up with that issue all the time. Honestly, stop acting like you're entitled to it.

I think the issue isn't so much that of entitlement, as it is that its a feature that has been a standard in PC gaming up until this point. I think the best possible metaphor would be if automakers decided to remove power steering. Sure, the vehicle itself is still drivable, and there are those of us who would adapt quickly, and even those of us who currently drive vehicles like that as it is. But for those used to power steering, it would severely cripple any enjoyment they may get from driving the car.

OT, I'd only been planning on getting MW2 used since I heard about the price hike, though at this point, only one of the two games can get my money at this point, and I have to say EA has really been a company I feel I can support lately.

After seeing the reviews on the game (from people who actually played the PC version), I think I'll direct my funds towards more worthwhile venues. Bad Company 2, here I come.
HELL, YEAH, BRO!

I bought Ratchet and Clank instead, better guns sold me, seriously.

That and Borderlands sold me so I ran out of cash between these two gems.

I'm not spending money on a game you can finish in 5 hours..sorry.
Thats were mulit-player comes in,only Peer to Peer Suck Ass BIG time.
For some of my console breathr'en I feel I need to explain myself.

If you have never played on a PC, and your multiplayer experience has only been delivered to you via matchmaking, then you will never really understand. But try to imagine a host hosting a game while never turning his console off, and you can always reach that room and play there whenever you want, night or day, because its always on. Now imagine that host has a Pentagon grade internet connection and his X360 can handle 64 players in that room. On top of that, the guy whos the host is actually resurrected Ghandi, so you will all be treated with respect, anyone using racial slurs, being offensive or just detrimental to gameplay experience via TKing or exploiting glitches, is going to be removed from that server forever.

Now imagine dozens and dozens of custom maps running on that server, which you will get for free, because IWs not making them. Then imagine entire communities and forums built around that one room (server). You recognize people who visit that same room, you befriend them, you have fun with these familiar folks.

The story goes on, and thats what were missing. All of it is gone in MW2 that made MW1 still a game I play today.

so no..my money stays in my bank account.
Well till I draw it back out tp purchase Dragon Age :)

Okay, I put my hands up, that's a perfectly valid argument.
