It was amazing. One of the best times I've experienced, we never had problems with bullies in my school thankfully and everyday was full of banter. Was so easy, too, now I've left and look back at it.

I loved High school, it was fun (seriously) but only once I got involved. It took me 2 years, but in Junior year I decided (with the help of a new friend) that we were going to try to do basically everything, and everything we did. We joined clubs, sports teams (none too prestigious, teams like golf and weightlifting), and other things. I was apart of the Homecoming committee, helped with several other events, was in every single pep rally (in not went/watched) and we had a blast. So much so, we did it all again the next year. Although tbf.... that was slilghtly less awesome due to my choice in guys >.>;; but it ended awesome since I met my current beau and I am madly in love <33.

FTR: I'm a junior in College now, not nearly as cool as everyone said it would be.

Really it's complicated.
my first few years were terrible, but as i was about to finish it, it became much more easier, nicer and generally less annoying.

Meh, it was average, maybe a little more on the good side. The first two years were terrible, junior year was great, and senior year was ok except for dealing with my pain in the ass ex.

It was OK. My closest friends from back then are still exactly that, and it;s where I got my reputation for going from completely calm to having to be restrained from hitting someone that ensures nobody fucks with me.

How to put it. The first two years were relative crap (first year because it's the year where you don't know a lot of people and thus start making friends, pretty boring and second year because i was in a crappy class). Than came the good stuff, 3&4 year pretty fun, nice people, lots of laughs. And than the 2 last years simply amazing. The amount of beer we consumed and fun that followed was beyond rational (ironically i've been drinking less since i got in the University). And let's not forget those were the times where "working" hard didn't mean anything (at least for me). Damn university exams...

Lonely. I don't really have many friends and none that I'm close with. So I've missed out on all the fun stuff that I could have experienced. It's really depressing.

I hated school. It wasn't being made to sit around in a room with a bunch of people that, for the most part, I had nothing in common with other than my age (they felt the same way). It was more that school never stretched me.

In primary school I misbehaved so that I could be sent to the library and expand my mind. Secondary school (high school) was just an intellectual and physical prison until I was allowed to leave. My grades improved when I went to uni. I averaged about 60% in high school, got my masters with 70%. Shows how interesting school was.

The more I think back to it, the more I realise I hated it.
*shrug* However, very little from that time is still following me around, so all's good.

Freshman year was pretty awful. I didn't know where I fitted in and ended up alone most of the time. Things improved over time and by Senior year I was practically friends with everyone, with a closer circle whom I hung out with outside of high school. I still count those closer friends as the best friends I ever had, and we hang out whenever I return from college to play some bad n64 games and DnD.

I fucking hated it.

Worst fours years of my life and my senior year was a joke, I will say it was slightly better, but that's not saying much since it was like limbo. Walked into high school with no friends and I left the same amount, at least I broke even there...

Best time of my life my ass.

Well, made a few friends, didn't like a few people, did fairly well. It was neither the hell hole nor the heartfelt life changing experience that films make it out to be.

I'm still in it, and I have no big complaints. I have friends, I have decent grades, I have fairly good teachers.

But the problem is that my school is broke. Pissing, penny-pinching broke. Probably in debt a few million. They might cut most extracurricular activities (including marching band and football), they've already completely cut busing (turning all roads in a mile's radius into a clusterfuck every morning and afternoon), and shit's really going down as to what they have to cut, and who could be leaving next year.

Don't be mad just because other people are having more fun than you. Also, you may have gotten better grades if you worked on your spelling and grammar. Seriously, there are elementary students with better spelling than you.

My High School and Middle School were the same building, with most of the same people, so the experiences kind of blended together.

Middle School and 9th grade were easily the worst parts of my life. I was constantly bullied and nobody could or would do a thing about it. I could tell them exactly how, when, and where it was happening, and they couldn't do a thing about it because it wasn't obvious. Really, I look back at then and hate myself for being an easy target.

10th grade was okay since all the bullying stopped, but I had basically no social skills, and few friends.

11th and 12 grade were great. I had joined the school's bowling team in 9th grade and stayed in the program all four years. In 11th grade, I was one of the three best bowlers on the team, I had more friends, and got rid of a little of my extreme social awkwardness. I helped take my team to the state finals twice, getting 12th and 4th place in the 3rd and 4th years of our program's existence. I went from easily bullied wimp to semi-respected accomplished varsity athlete.

Academically, I was never challenged by my school. I ended up 5th in my class with no effort, was invited to National Honor Society twice and kept a 3.8 GPA. I ended up refusing to join National Honor Society twice because I thought the idea of it was dumb.

I really hated when people said high school is the best time of your life. To me, that just sounded like "It's all downhill from here", and that's just depressing.
