Well I'm making my way through the whole generations PS3 exclusives so quite big. My longest backlogged game was Red Dead Redemption which I owned for nearly 3 years until I played it. Now my worst is Human Revolution which I've owned since it came out but I did play about the first hour of it.

I went with "Other" since I don't really have a backlog, but I do have a forwardlog. I've already played the crap out of all the games I own, now there's nothing left but to look forward to the games I intend to get in the fall.

Going to pick up the PS4 version of Diablo III and play with some of my coworkers, but as I've already played it a lot on my 360 even that will be just to pass the time until October when Alien Isolation and Dragon Age come out.

In the meantime, I'm going to be buying a new graphics card so I can play Skyrim on the PC (picked it up during the Steam sale). Again, this is a game I've already had my fun with on the 360 but now I've got a chance to play it with mods! Beautiful, glorious mods!

Not too bad I guess, at least, only considering the games that I actually have an interest in playing. I must say though, T_ConX's spreadsheet idea is actually a pretty damn decent one. I might have to make one of my own.

Anywho:
Splinter Cell: Blacklist
Ghost Recon: Future Soldier
Hotline Miami
Scribblenauts Unlimited
Baldur's Gate: EE
KOTOR 2

hmm if we count beating as, 'completing the main story line', my PS3 is in good shape.
If we go to my urge to beat every game 100% without a guide..ehh Ive got enough to do for a while, but going for the beating thing, 2.

Steam after the summer sales is a different story. up to count at 22.....Ill have enough to do for a while yep.

Generally, I finish games before buying other ones. However, due to the Steam summer sale, I do have 3 games that I have yet to complete.

I think I've probably reached like......260+?
I don't necessarily ALWAYS buy games to play them. Sometimes it's to have them "just in case" when they're rare and I stumble across them for cheap, sometimes it's to support great undersupported developers, to support amazing concepts, or to support more stuff coming out for a great franchise (even if a specific game isn't what I'm looking for), OR...(the majority of cases) if a game sounds kinda interesting and it's just crazy stupid cheap...because Steam Sales.

*shrug*

Also, I'm more or less collecting them for the future, in case anyone ELSE want to play them.
I'm like...a game museum - curating a collection.

I'm pretty good about not buying games unless I can play them sometime soon - mostly since I just can't afford to buy a ton at once. Usually I'll get games from people for Christmas which is nice cus I'll get like 5-6 at once.

I still have Valkyria Chronicles from last Christmas actually 0.0 I just haven't gotten around to it yet (since 2 of the other games I got were Xenoblade Chronicles and Fallout: New Vegas).

As for games I really want to get but haven't yet for lack of funds/time;

Mass Effect 3
Remember Me
Tales of Xillia
Uncharted 3
Sly Cooper series
Metal Gear series
Persona series
Okami
Professor Layton series
FFXIII Lightning Returns
Ni no Kuni
Spec Ops: The Line
Atelier series

And that doesn't include 3DS games, since the console itself would also be on the list.

I currently have 10, but they are exclusively games I got through bundle deals. Since I started with sports, my gaming has really decreased, so I haven't spent time finishing games but I haven't bought many new ones either.

Currently:
Company of Heroes plus expansions
Darkest Hour: Europe '44-'45
Darksiders
Dwarfs!?
Medal of Honor (New EA version, not the old one)
Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45
Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad
Star Wars Starfighter and Clone Wars: Republic Heroes
Titan Quest

6-10 is under control?
I thought that was pretty bad.
I'm still playing GTA Online. If they keep updating it and the community keeps adding content, I'll never move on.

I think i'll drop Castlevania: LoS 2 because how badly can you fuck up Dracula?
Yeah I was disappointed by that game as well. I did finish it b/c it wasn't nearly horrible enough for me to drop it(the theater part is a particular standout moment in the game) but I never enjoyed it as much as its predecessor. The first one took inspiration from God of War, Uncharted and Shadow of the Colossus and had kick-ass colorful setpieces. It was varied, fun and probably the best 3D Castlevania thus far. The sequel was a huge disappointment with its drab and uninspired environment and monotonous gameplay. The only redeeming factor of the game were the creature designs which were quite good. Other than that it's like they tried to make a 3D Symphony of the Night but failed completely.

Anyways I played through most games in my backlog(which was only current releases and not that many. :p) I only still have Bioshock 2 and Uncharted 3 to play/complete. Mostly looking forward to future releases(a lot of titles I really wanna play this fall). Pretty much done with last-gen now though I still want to replay my favorite titles one last time.

Mine isn't too terrible. Two for the 360 and five for the PS3. The biggest one out of all those is Red Dead Redemption for the 360, but I've been waiting to play that since before Christmas so I think I can wait a while longer.

I'd like to write that Steam and Humble explain my backlog, but Gamestop buy 2 get 3 sales are killing me too. While I'm headed toward 200 PC games, I have about70 360, PS3, PS4, and Vita games as well. Oh. Playstation Network is adding to the back load as well.

It's hard to say 'cause I get so many games through bundles, where the bundle was just cheaper than buying the one game I wanted (GOG sales and Humble Bundles are especially bad at causing this).

I'm currently playing Shadow of the Colossus, Vanquish, Fire Emblem Awakening, Tales of Xillia and Cave Story alongside a few fighting games and platformers and other games that you can kinda just play over and over.

I kinda just play whatever I feel like at the time rather than trying to plough my way through unfinished games. Although that does leave me with a few unfinished games :']

You're gonna get high answers because the Steam and GoG sales just ended a week ago.
Anyway I'm at 20, including my newly bought GOG stuff. I plan to play games this summer and through winter though.
I don't usually have a back log, most of the time I can only buy one game a year or something like that.

I really want to say "other" on the grounds of having more than 3-digits worth of video games on backlog and beyond, yet I don't want to "send help" because of it...

Then again, I seem to constantly keep pre-ordering less-than-advertised video games mostly coming from Japan, so there's that... At least I seem to try to play some of the games I already have before their pending sequel (that I probably pre-ordered anyway) comes out, so it's definitely a "work in progress" in the backlog department...

Probably about... 400 or so unplayed games on steam alone with another 100+ ps2/ps3 games laying around the joint as well. I'm going back to school soon though so money and time will be tighter and I won't be able to afford to buy tons of crap I will never get around to playing, maybe I can start working on my backlog then.

Seems my guess of 30 was not quite correct. I made a quick count and I end up with 24 games on gog and about 15 on Steam, including a few games, which I'm currently playing. There are also 6 games from Amazon (counting the Penumbra-collection as one game). I didn't count in games, which turned out to not interest me and none of the games, which I have finished at some time and want to replay. Also didn't count in demos and mods. All in all it still is easily 50.

If we're talking games I own but haven't played, my backlog is easily over 200. But if we exclude uncompletable games and games I've never installed yet, my backlog currently consists of:

Bravely Default
Witcher 2
Dawn of War 2: Retribution
Skyrim
Fallout 3
Mark Leung: Revenge of the *****
Dark Souls
Deponia

I'm trying to get through them but Kerbal Space Program and Diablo 3 (combo'd with the Shield on the other half of the screen) keep eating up all my time.
