Let me sum up FFX in 60 or so seconds and perhaps freshen up your memory.Lucem712 said:>_> Right, right..I've totally played this series and know what you are talking about. Though, in all seriousness I do recall a 'Yuna' character from Kingdom Hearts. Maybe? Or maybe that was another character.T0ad 0f Truth said:Yuna? From FFX if I were to fancy a guess. You know. The one with the imaginary protagonist and evil whale plotLucem712 said:That's pretty sweet! I also noticed you changed your avatar, what it is off of?Marter said:Yeah, I'm currently a full-time student. However, in the summers, I work at a golf course. In the back shop, if you must know.
Found out today that I'll be making a crisp $12 an hour this year (a $1 raise from last summer), which, y'know, isn't bad for a summer job. It's enough to cover my tuition for the following year, and then give me enough spending money throughout school. That's pretty awesome.![]()
So you work at Krispy Kreme? That's awesome, can I have free donuts?Darken12 said:I stab people with needles, steal their blood and feed it to machines powered by the souls of creationists. I love my job.
The terminology refers to facilities that are used to hold inmates before they are released/convicted.SomeLameStuff said:I never got calling them "Detention Centers". It's a JAIL! Why do we need such soft language for a flipping JAIL?! It's like how storemen are now called "Supply Assistants". Weird...Lucem712 said:I, personally, work at a local detention centre (or jail, in un-fancy terms) contracted by a private cooperation.
Nope! My knowledge of BBCode (besides just simple trial and error) comes from solid foundation in HTML and the 3D knowledge from being an architectural drafting student. Thanks for the compliment, even if I spent like an hour last night figuring out how to properly do tables D:TopazFusion said:Really? Huh.
I always assumed you worked with computers or in IT, given how skillful you are at BBcode and formatting stuff here. Not to mention your masterful animation abilities.
It isn't so bad working with inmates; at least not at my facility. We do have a 'Max' security, but only guards are allowed to hand out commissary items. They're pretty interesting and they'll try to push your buttons but at the end of the day, all they want is your attention.Shoggoth2588 said:That sounds interesting indeed...I'm doing virtually the same thing only pussified to a degree, instead of stocking shelves I...well I do stock shelves. I don't stock shelves for inmates anywhere though I stock shelves over night at a Target. 3 to 5 nights a week, depending on the week and, 4 to 8 hours per shift (though the schedule always has me down for 6...go figure). I can't really bring home much bacon...but there is swine to be had if I ever just decide to say "fuck it, I've saved enough for right now!"
And I love your post.Darken12 said:I stab people with needles, steal their blood and feed it to machines powered by the souls of creationists. That's considerably less awful than what I imagined[footnote]Going by your profile.[/footnote, it's still pretty crap though, you've been there for a while now, so how long until you can get out?SomeLameStuff said:Well I'm the personal assistant to my camp's Commanding Officer. Meaning he calls, I jump and get whatever he needs getting. He wants something done, I go make sure it's done. I wouldn't mind it too much, if I had actually PICKED the damn job instead of being fecking conscripted and having no say in the damn matter.
I hate the army...
