Poll: How Fast can you Type?

Pretty much self explanatory. My speed greatly differs depending on what I'm typing. It can be anywhere from 43 words to 71 words per minute.

I'm very slow.

I type slow and like crap. I have to spell check everything. I also always type teh for the. I never measured how fast I type though. It would make me as sad as my avatar.

70+ I haven't times myself in a while but I'm pretty quick.

I can type at least one word per minute.

Depends on the keyboard I'm using, not from keyboard to keyboard, but from the material it's made out of. On my current rubber one, I could probably type 60-70 WPM, but on a normal keyboard that would probably step up to 80 or 90.

I vary between 45-55 WPM when I'm just transcribing something. It's about half that when I'm thinking of what I want to say as I type.

I never timed oneself... I can sometimes get up to great speeds, but I need to know what one is going to type before one hits the keys...
I suppose one day I shall time oneself.

40-60 WPM with few typos.

About 80-90 WPM at fastest, but its a spell checking Nightmare.

I'm not sure. I've never timed myself typing before but looking at the clock, this post has taken me 17 seconds to type.

Oh man, that brought on some flashbacks. Still, it did help me improve my typing a good bit. Got me past the looking at the keyboard while you type thing.

I can usually type between 30 and 50 WPM if I know what I'm going to say, and if I am on my laptop keyboard.
On a normal keyboard I am useless.

I took one of those tests, and we had two minutes to write a paragragh on some very confusing subjects and I scored 152 WPM on the first one and 156 WPM on the second... I'm pretty fast.

I think it taught me the five-finger way of typing, as opposed to the three-finger way of typing I developed with Runescape. The fact that I had to take the class twice (Due to going to 2 different schools, not do to failing) I got to run straight through it with far too high a score ><

Probably somewhere between 70 and 80 words a minute depending on how many other keys I hit when I don't want to.

If im typing with the light on and i know what i need to say then i can type pretty fast when i need to.
