I use the "roll eyes and bust out the turbo button joypad" technique, button mashing... the only shit cheaper then QTEs.
Do you use a standard controller layout? The Wykydtron said:In most standard QTEs it's piss easy. It would be a complete fail on the designer's part if someone couldn't open a door due to their mashing skills being a bit underdeveloped XP
Though I swear some of the boss ones in Bayonetta are ridiculous. In every Jeanne boss fight you get to a mash buttons to counter scenario. You need to mash Y to not get your health bar ruined. You get 450 points instead of the full 500? Lol get fucked.
I don't usually get the shorter Supers to max mashing either, the animation is too quick
Oh and I hate the Hypers in UMVC3 where you can extend damage by mashing buttons. After accidentally triggering X-Factor mid-super (Every face button together triggers it so yeah don't mash everything DX) and losing the game because of it I decided to mash only A and B sort of halfheartedly.
I can't enjoy Vergil's WUBWUBWUBWUBWUBWUB *click* as much with the sound of button mashing overlaying it.
Oh wow R2 does that as well? I knew it was the quick Hyper/push block/dash button but cool no more accidental X-Factors for me!Daystar Clarion said:Do you use a standard controller layout? The Wykydtron said:In most standard QTEs it's piss easy. If so, just mash R2. It's essentially L,M,H all in one button.
Well I edited my button layout so A=L, X=M, Y=H and B=S.The Wykydtron said:Oh wow R2 does that as well? I think Skullgirls helped me use the two buttons together = super thing kinda well but before in UMVC3 I was fucking up everything cuz I can't hit X and Y together and since A is the Special button and technically isn't an attack button I can't go for the easy A + X
'Twas a happy damn day when I found the quick button XD
