Fantasy and Science Fiction. One of my favorite book series is The Black Company series by Glen Cook. Damned good series. It's like Lord of the Rings, but with much less singing and jewelry!

I used to read a lot more but I've come to value sleep a little too much over reading, so I don't actually read all that much anymore. I'll get back into it later on, but right now I'm focusing on recharging myself.

I enjoy reading a lot, but due to the high speed at which I do so I go through them extremely quickly and so frequently run out of things to read.

I usually read before I go to bed. Many a late night has come from being gripped by a good book!

I don't think I'm going to be running out soon, my parents have been hoarding books for years, there's thousands in my house.
You lucky sod. I've read every book in my house at least 3 times and don't have the money to by more than 1 or 2 books at a time.

I read alot, especially when I am doing research as it involves a lot of sitting waiting. I tend to get through a book a week or so (along with around 10-20 research papers). My favourite genre is fantasy, I have read almost all the books in the big retail shops in that section. I am currently going through the Wheel of Time series in preparation for the release of the newest book...

I don't read anywhere near as much as I'd like (damn computer games, women and kids getting in the way lol), but still read quite a lot - George R R Martin's "Song of Ice and Fire" would have to be a favourite, but I have almost finished John Birmingham's "World War 2." series which is quite decent

I used to like reading... A bit.

Now it just makes me depressed.
Don't ask me why, I don't know o_O

Hell, I can read one of those pocket comics about Donald Duck and feel like slithing my wrists in despair... But that's an almost.
No, I'm not an emo, thank you so much for your concern.

I've had periods in my life where I read constantly and others where I don't read at all. I still consider myself an avid reader. It's just that in some cases I lack the mental energy to enjoy it if I'm in the middle of a semester's study.

I should really read more, but unfortunately at the moment I do very little of it...

I used to read a relatively large number of books, but at the moment its kinda limited to internet articles and newspapers :p

I used to read a lot, then I just stopped and hardly read a book for several years - I've just managed to get the will to read back. I seem to have problems reading anything but horror at the moment, though, which is kinda sad, because I used to love fantasy and now I just can't be bothered to read it.

I'm reading Lovecraft at the moment - probably gonna pick up Stephen King when I'm done.

Let me put it this way: I don't even leave the house without taking a book with me, no matter where I'm going or what I plan on doing when I get there, as you never know when you might want to read something.

So yes, I read rather a lot of books, mostly science fiction and fantasy, and when I'm not reading books, the odds are good I'm reading something on the internet instead.

I haven't read that much in years, but i intend to do start again as I have some story ideas that i wish to do some research on.

To this end, I have taken an interest in crime fiction and thrillers,
starting with James Patterson's "I, Alex Cross".

I know that feeling... all too well.

Me, I read nearly constantly, almost anything from the Black Library (GW stuff), but also some solid science fiction, especially the Dread Empire's Fall series by Walter Jon Williams is a solid favourite, though absolute favourite, well, its gotta be Fulgrim by Graham McNeill, not fond of the legion it centre's around, but the story is a real Greek style tragedy.

I read all the time, and I love it.

My favourite genre is fantasy, specifically high fantasy; but I also read sci-fi, horror, thriller... anything that looks interesting.

Depends more on the author than the genre. I read everything from Stephen King, for example, including his non-horror stuff.
