I'm racist but only because I believe their are scientifically identifiable differences in behaviour, intelligence, stature etc between races. I however can't stand people who are racist with no justification e.g. they have done no research etc they just are because their friends are.

And for the record I am White, but believe that evidence concludes that Oriental people are smarter than Whites based on IQ. I may be racist but I think everything I believe can be backed up and I am not arrogant enough to think that my Race is 'the best', different races excel in different areas.

In my opinion people who say there are no differences are plain wrong. Black people have denser musculature, also some diseases only affect people of a certain ethnicity and some groups are taller/shorter than others, these are all undeniable differences that exist. If these differences exist why can't other (negative or positive) trait differences exist between races?

I'm not racist. I don't judge people by the color of their skin or their country of origin.

I am prejudiced against certain social groups. And some of these groups are excessively common with races other than mine. But just because I hate 4-Spork across the street doesn't mean I hate all black people. I'd just as easily be distrustful of a white man if he were in oversized pants and walked like an ape.

I am prejudiced in a positive manner towards native americans and folks from the UK, however. They get bonus points on sight with me. Prolly because I heard such awe/respect-inspiring things about them when I was young.

Where I am, most of people I hate happen to be spanish and black, not because of skin color, but because of personality.

Just a general observation, not racist.

It's not okay to be racist if you are a minority. It is never okay to let that be a crutch. If all people are equal, why the fuck does that let a black person (Yes, I said black. Not African American. I will never call anyone an African American unless they emigrated from Africa or they make an AFrican America) be racist to a white person and everyone laughs, but when the white person (Notice I didn't say man because a woman can be racist too) says something racist to a black man, it's a big deal. Yeah yeah, slavery is bad and white people were xenophobic for a long time (Some still are [Example: My Mother]), but that is in the past. Affirmative Action was almost as bad as slavery, because it puts a race on the pedestal and makes them seem more important than the other race(s).

Fine the employers of illegal immigrants.

I am but it's ok cause I hate everyone the same despite the color difference and birthplace. For those of you that pick the I am but it's alright cause I'm a minority, you assholes are the one making racism such a problem; stop thinking you're different and should be treated better. Get your ass in line with the rest of us and stop bitchin about how everything is unfair.

I hate, it's one of the things I do. So I dislike all people. However, I also hate being emotional. So I generally settle for apathy towards all.

I do however assume things:
White; Gonna fuck me over if given the chance
Black; Gonna fuck me over if given the chance
Asian; Gonna fuck me over if given the chance
Latin; Gonna fuck me over if given the chance
Mid E; Gonna fuck me over if given the chance

Women; Gonna fuck me over

(I kid, I kid... a little)

I agree with you, in fact I know exactly what you mean. I live in California and I feel terrible when I admit I feel that way about most Mexican people. I honestly don't know why I feel this way, but I never act on it, and I feel that's what counts.

can you give examples and sources?
I've added a little to my first post if you'd care to read it :)

I've also attempted to provide some evidence, but bear in mind it is 5 in the morning here! I will try and find more if you want though, just not right now.

This first piece isn't scientfic as-such but refers to some scientific works

http://www.halfsigma.com/2007/10/an-essay-on-rac.html -He mentions the Bell Curve which is a very important work in this area (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0684824299?ie=UTF8&tag=thecalicocat-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=0684824299)

This seems to show that Intelligence is genetic and as we all know the different races are genetically different. I know this isn't a direct proof but I shows that racial differences in intelligence are far from fantasy

http://www.scientificamerican.com/article.cfm?id=searching-for-intelligence-in-our-genes

This is lifted directly from the wiki article on 'Race vs Intelligence' and lists average IQs of the races. Note that this backs up my remarks about Oriental (East Asian) people being more intelligent than Whites.

Lynn's meta-analysis lists East Asians (105), Europeans (99), Inuit (91), Southeast Asians and Amerindians (87 each), Pacific Islanders (85), Middle Easterners (including South Asians and North Africans) (84), sub-Saharan Africans (67), and Australian Aborigines (62).
This source on the first page says that Jews and East asian score higher in IQ tests than Whites.

http://www.udel.edu/educ/gottfredson/reprints/1997mainstream.pdf

The ratio of Blacks in prison to blacks outside of prison is much higher than the equivalent for whites.

http://www.nytimes.com/2003/04/07/us/prison-rates-among-blacks-reach-a-peak-report-finds.html

I hope this helps clarify my statements and also shows that I may be racist but it's not all negative (damn those chinese being so smart!) and that I am not being ignorant with my beliefs (infact I believe that I am more enlightened than some who will not even consider these differences).

in the scenario of someone sitting next to me on a bus, it all depends on the persons appearence/deemenor. to me its not that the guy is black, its that the guy is a stranger. I get cautious every time i stranger who may come off the wrong way enters my facinity. Its not the color of the skin that affects my attitude towards them, its how they present themself. White or black etc., if you come at me all gangster-like, i'm going to try and avoid you... G.
vise versa, if a little old lady came up to me, no matter what race, i'd say "back your decaying ass off me gradma! Get yourself across the damn street!"

... naa j/k

but seriously, i am not one to assume the worst about someone based on something so petty as the color of their skin, its their attitude/personality.

I am racist, I get nervous around Asian drivers, I am always annoyed by East Indians, I don't trust nor like Natives and there aren't enough black people around for me to care about them. I am obviously not openly racist but around my family and by myself I am racist. To be honest I don't care that I am racist.
Pretty much this. I'm Australian so the Native thing applies on an even greater scale, I don't support racism in any sense, but I am one and it helps me along. I always think it is funny when people tell me they're not racist (woman seem to be more PC than men) but theres not a chance they'd sit next to an aboriginal over a person of their own decent.
Exactly! Denying it just makes me a hypocrite, and tons of people deny it but exactly as you said they would for the most part sit beside their own race than another.

While I'm certainly racist against purple people (unless they're purple because they're choking on something, then I go help), I don't know if I am racist or not against everyone else. I can't help but think of the Avenue Q song 'Everyone's a little bit racist' in this situation.

I don't think of race as something to take too seriously. The person behind the skin can make race all important or not important. I think race is extremely silly thing to base yourself around. If I was black, asian, hispanic, french, or anything, if I applied myself as much as I do now, how much different could my life be? I don't base my life around race, and I actually consider race to be one of the sillier things we focus on. Not every black person likes hip-hop, not every Asian person is good at math, not every hispanic person mows lawns, and not everyone has to fit to what they think is society's image but their own. If a person doesn't want to better themselves and be lazy, abuse the system, go into jail, whatever, then their race can't be their defining factor but what kind of person that person is in. Who says that if a little old lady is putting groceries in her car won't ask a 'thug' to help her won't? Maybe we should stop stereotyping everybody...
