Yes, I've felt pretty screwed over by Microsoft a few times.

TvTropes agrees with that theory. [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/AWizardDidIt]Mr. Grey said:This sounds more like you pissed off somebody that dabbles in magic.

If you're sure you didn't piss off anything that can command a cosmic force... then, I don't know what to say, I don't recall having to retrieve my account when I transferred data... or did I? Man I have horrible memory. Regardless, the bit where you were trying to buy Blacklight Tango Down may have been that that part of Xbox Live was taken down due to maintenance.
Can you buy it now?
Oh and I wouldn't buy a PS3 so soon after spending that much on an Xbox 360. Just wait it out a bit and see if it still causes you grief.

OP, If you can get an older PS3 with backwards compatibility its definitely a worthwhile investment.
Probably because they had a history of rudeness. Something tells me he won't make it that long.MiracleOfSound said:A probabtion? Pretty generous if you ask me. I've seen people perma-banned for less.

Actually i accidentally did that when trying to report the other guy =(MiracleOfSound said:A probabtion? OK, first, it doesn't that much but it matters to me so i put it, and he's an idiot for getting so pissed about it when most everyone else would blow it off.Is this a joke? How does bringing up exclusives affect this discussion, and how is he an idiot for having windows live and xbox live fail on him?
I mean, fuck, if you're gonna troll then be more, I don't know, funny about it. Or inventive.
There is no reason to insult the guy just because he got mad about windows live and his x-box 360 not working. Also, it is against the rules to insult another member of the Escapist. That is what gets people suspended and banned here.bloodshed113094 said:OK, first, it doesn't that much but it matters to me so i put it, and he's an idiot for getting so pissed about it when most everyone else would blow it off.Is this a joke? There I fixed the list for you. I don't want to start anything but PS3 does have more GOOD exclusives. (Oh and FF XIII versus is exclusive also can't wait for thatRelexCryo said:Infamous, Killzone 2, Resistance 2, and Metal Gear Solid 4, Little Big Planet, Gran Turismo 5, Infamous 2, Uncharted 1-2, Twisted Metal, God of War Collection, God of War 3, Heavy Rain, Warhawk and Demon's Soul. The PS3 might have few exclusives, but they are pretty damn good ones. There is a big difference between a few damn good exclusives and none. So your statement that it has no exclusives is flat out false. Implying that it has bad exclusives implies that you have a very different sense of taste from millions of other gamers.bloodshed113094 said:first off, Don't fuck with my text, and second, their are no exclusives to the PS3 and a majority of the people here would agree with me, and third your avatars Fucking Gay. I like Alan Wake, Gears of War, and many other Xbox exclusives, but the many problems I have had with Microsoft have been annoying me.
This generic message can be a sign that your credit card information is messed up, or someone put a freeze on your account (maybe a parent?)RelexCryo said:Earlier last month, I had this problem:
I ordered and downloaded Blacklight Tango Down on Steam. Initially after installing I tried to sign in with my windows live account. The program tried to update my windows live data. I got an error message, specifically, I got OX80072751. I looked around, and found out this is the error message you get when windows live hasn't been updated. So the game couldn't update windows live...because I hadn't updated windows live.
Well, I went to one of microsoft's sites, directly downloaded the current version of live, and that solved that problem. But then, when I opened the game again, and tried to log into my windows live account, again, I got another error message. this time I got OX80151911. I went to a website, specifically I went too
http://forums.gamesforwindows.com/t/785.aspx
I took his advice, ran the suggested command line in command prompt as administrator, and it still didn't work. To my knowledge I literally cannot play this game no matter how hard I try. The game will *not* access window lives servers no matter what I do.
I can however access my windows live account outside of this game. I have also done a full system scan with Avira anti-virus premium security suite, and found no malware. Hence, the problem is apparently not with my computer. I have deleted and reinstalled the program several times. I have deleted and reinstalled games for windows live. The game still does not work.
Immediately after that, I got the red rings of death on my Xbox 360. I then bought a second Xbox 360, an elite with 250 gig harddrive for $320.00. I hooked up a transfer kit($20.00), and went out to a resturant, because it would take about an hour to finish the transfer of my old harddrive data to the new console. When I got back, I found out it had only finished 1/8 of the download because, and I am not kidding, the console wanted to know whether I wanted to overwrite Hexic 3d. I wound up wasting an hour sitting around waiting for the transfer to finish....just because the console wanted to know if I wanted to overwrite Hexic 3d.
Then, after it finally finished downloading, I tried to log on, but I was told that I couldn't use my profile, and that I had to recover my profile rather than just directly using it from the data transfer. So I recovered it. Then I tried to buy Blacklight Tango Down. I got another error message:
"Can't retrieve information from Xbox LIVE. Please try again later.
Status Code: 801553b2"
How is this much failure even possible unintentionally? Should I just switch to Sony PS3?
There is no freeze on my account. I was recently able to buy Blacklight Tango Down, and my account is more or less working on my 360. Also, no "parents" control my account. I still have problems with games for windows live though.danpascooch said:This generic message can be a sign that your credit card information is messed up, or someone put a freeze on your account (maybe a parent?)RelexCryo said:Earlier last month, I had this problem:

Have you called support? yes I realize that sounds crazy considering how not useful phone support for anything usually is, but give it a half hour, talk to a real person, they can probably tell you what's wrong.
