I've smoked a few times with friends, I enjoy it but I won't do it on more than on the odd occasion as I have no intention of getting lung cancer or smelling of smoke all the time. Since you're an adult you're free to do as you wish but don't forget the disadvantages (including cost among other things).
Enjoy the period when you start coughing up phlegm mixed with tiny little black specks of tar.
A few of my friends complained about that a few months after they started smoking.

I know many people who smoke and only a few who like it. I have never tried it and have no desire. I can't stand the smell. Smoking is a deal breaker when I smell it on a female. Sure you can say it is a great way to meet people, but so is anything else you do that involves going outside.
I think you can replace every instance of "smoking" or "smoke" with the words "cocaine" or "heroine".Limecake said:

you have my sympathies. and/or the wrong friends. i do not know enough about either to come to a final conclusion, but i am fairly certain it's one of those options
I won't tell you to stop (hell, I smoke on occasion myself), but I will tell you that pre-packaged cigarettes of any kind are the worst and among the most expensive tobacco you can buy. I would recommend switching to a pipe, or rolling your own cigs.
Seriously, cigarettes are terrible for you. The shit they use to cure the tobacco and paper is pretty much the biggest contributor to tar content and other carcinogens in the things.
Personally, I smoke whiskey flavored tobacco with a pipe... or dried fruit with a hookah, if someone has such a thing laying around.
