I don't think I've ever heard a "going to hell" speech. I've heard more passive "you might be happier" speeches, but never Hell.Bouncing Ferret FIlm said:If people tell me that they are southern baptist or any other jesus following church that goes under any name other than Catholic, or if they are wiccan, atheist, jewish, etc, they again do not get the "going to hell" speech from me.
Actually, it works perfectly. I said that I have qualms with the organization. Not with the people.BobDobolina said:Yeah, prefacing a statement like this with "no offense meant" doesn't really work. Because of course offense is meant. You know perfectly well the statement is offensive and will be seen as such by Catholics. If you're going to play at provocation, please have some stones about it; don't play dumb.Kunzer said:No offense meant to you, or anyone else, but I find Catholicism far more offensive than a man and woman engaging in sexual acts.
There isn't much of a direct connection for the average religion or church but that doesn't mean there aren't similarities. In both cases you are trading on a basic human desire to create interest. Solace and sexuality are often very closely related.Gentile said:How is making a video intent on spreading the Gospel anything similar to porn?
Don't you just love it when you talk yourself into an answerfarscythe said:failing to see the connection i think...that said..if your against the church job and still concider doing it..then..yea you might as well concider the porn to..your equally against it..but hey it pays the bills
[edit] heh..guess i did get the connection..nvm

OT: Not really. You'll find religious yammering is more widely accepted than humping ducks.
As long as its not for the Westboro Baptist Church, You're all good.

What has science done?
You are so right about that. People always talk about religion being forced on them but nowadays it feel like it's these people trying to force it out of those who are religious.Bouncing Ferret FIlm said:I try my best to avoid arguing about religious beliefs because its not longer a sharing of ideas, but a mission to prove one is right and one is wrong.
I'd definitely agree; a porn director would not be on any Hollywood list.BobDobolina said:Unlike Jack, I can't claim to have dabbled. However, judging by what non-dabblers tend to say [http://artofmanliness.com/2009/05/20/so-you-want-my-job-film-director/], I don't think porn is all that common as a route into mainstream film.
