Plenty of life left, same with PS3. I think the Wii is still behind and will be the first to go to the next generation. But still, 'generations' are becoming less and less important. Unless some crazy new technology comes along I believe there is still time before I have to spend more money.
If Sony losing FFXIII exclusivity didn't kill the PS3, then ME2 jumping consoles certainly won't hurt the 360. Besides, Halo Reach just came out, so you know the Xbox is doing great right now.
Wait, is this thread a joke? Do you seriously think that just because the xbox 360 has lost the mass effect 2 title, that it's done? As an owner of both a PS3 and a xbox 360, I can safely say that neither are going to be "dying out" any time soon, and people won't start selling their xbox 360 because some PS3 gamers now have Mass Effect 2. The xbox 360 is still, in my opinion the stronger console out of the two (no flaming intended) but it most certainly isn't dying out.

Oh right, that makes more sense than selling them separately. I don't intend to buy Kinect but knowing things allows you to win arguments. Now I know, and knowing is half the battle. Well I thought it was done when I heard that half of them were spontaneously combusting. But MS has some seriously zombie like loyal customers. I know a couple of people who bought "spare" 360s to play while their "main" one was being sent off. That seems pretty absurd to me.
With that taken into consideration, I'm sure it will be fine.

The Xbox 360 is a system that's worth sticking with if you already have it, but it isn't strong going forward. Multiplatform games are starting to look better on the PS3 as devs start realising how to harness its potential better and PC hardware is just moving way ahead of the 360. The 360 has hardly any exclusives left, particularly not highly rated ones. It's just not worth it to sink money into new 360 games, except for Plants vs Zombies.

Another point is that Sony loses money if someone buys a PS3 and many people just buy god of war,metal gear and a generic shooter that starts with an M(not gonna say it) and nothing else and that still doesn't make up for the cost of the system because some people don't buy games and instead use their ps3's as a super computer.So technically the PS3 has been dead since it sold it's first console.
And the Wii is a piece of crap that sells really well for some reason(mine is being used as a stand for my Xbox currently)
So, Basically what i'm saying is that the Xbox360 and Wii are actually making a profit and are not dying at all while the PS3 is a super powerful financial failure.It doesn't matter how many proprietary games a console has.What does matter is the profit.

The 360 will not die until the FPS genre dies. Even into the next generation I know I for one will probably still play Reach and MW2 online.
