I was kind of dissappointed with it. It's fun, but 4 levels that take about 20-45 minutes each does not constitute a 60$ price tag

L4D was one of my more recent impulse purchases, one I didn't regret. However, I stopped actively playing it a lot sooner than I expected. Around the 26-27 hour mark, wich was shortly after the Survival update, I pretty much stopped playing it. Every now and then, but that's really rare, I fire it up to vent some anger on some zombies.

I'm still playing but I'm close to stopping.

Reasons;

My friend Neo; He is my usual partner in crime,coupled with a couple of mutual friends who are in engaged couple(3 couples in a sentence! Beat that,God!), and we usually make a good human team, and a phenomenal infected team(Communication,Team combos, Tactics, a few good hiding spots, and ballsack jokes=Fatal). I stopped playing left 4 dead for a while to give school a boost, and I comeback to the same people, but they've changed a tad.

Neo;Luckiest ************ in the world when running, now likes to play "Maverick, and run out ahead of the pack, sometimes all the way to the fucking safe-room(Without a scratch or stain), while we attract every infected.

Kitty; usually a good spotter(but somehow a horrible tank.), now likes to save herself,usually by closing doors to rooms with boomers in them

They both like to rat-race(the name they gave running from safe-room to safe-room, without actually saying it, thereby fucking me and her groom-to-be over.)

Destructive; Still kind of good actually, if not a little more silent and less responsive to the sounds of a tank and smoker hanging.

And I've changed too, due to the changes; Now I'm team medic, I attract every hunter in the known and unknown universe, Usually left behind now, and when i go down once, I'm doomed to die.

This coupled(There it is again.) with "something" missing from the "Zombie Armageddon" factor(it's killing me not to know what, since I'm a zombie movie buff, and Zombologist) means I'm growing weary of L4D; and with growing stupid news for L4D2(Sunlight,New uninteresting characters,sucky-southern horde music, new hunter sounds, Cash-In new special-infected[I dare you to challenge you to make these sound like legitimate ideas and not ideas that should have been patch idea, I dare you],The only good news I've actually heard for this game is the fixed cresendos, the witch now walks instead of sits down and cries like Paul McCartney's Ex after a dog grabs her fake leg, a new gore system,[I have not seen one zombie move without a limb,valve! Make a video now, Gabe!] and a chainsaw.)

Note-About my tangent about L4D2: This isn't to say "I'm not going to buy the new one", but more to say "If they fuck this up, they better not make a damn 3rd."

The custom campaigns mean this game is still amazing.

Come back to me when you've had a round of Death Aboard and Night Terror.
I have not played Night Terror, but I played Death Aboard on a random server and it was great fun.
Try this one too, the first L4D campaign I know of with a gauntlet in a car park. From the start till the finish, infected just swarm you.

It's called 'Heaven Can Wait'.

Why thank you, I shall give this a go.
