Ever so often going through old Zero punctuation comment sections is like visiting a graveyard. So many banned...

I know what you mean about the graveyards. I just realized yesterday that Stolen Pixels was done by Shamus Young--whose work on Dm of the Ring and Darths and Droids I already loved.

Going over the replies to his old strips not only shows lots of folks who were banned but LOTS of folks who haven't posted since `09 or 10.

..Um sadly i'm rather new here and i don't know who most of you are! WHO ARE YOU PEOPLE! But yes let us give a moment of Silence to the banned...but not one moment more, for they are to be forgotten.

Actually I'm the OP. I just PM'd the Mod Forum Group and told them that I'd been getting updates from this thread (YOU GUYS--who, of course, rock) but that the thread was continuing to sink through the pages.

They told me that they're deliberately sinking it. The "topical reasons" was the given explanation.

*sighs*

On the PLUS side I can now reply to others, including many I wanted to on previous pages without worrying about being accused of "bumping" my own thread up!

Silver lining and all that.

If you don't mind me asking, what happened with Hubilub and all them? I joined when they were still active, and then suddenly they were gone

They created a forum which they believed would have the opposite moderation to The Escapist, as in we were nazi's and didn't let them have their own views and opinions.

First thing that happened is they permabanned people for speaking out against them on their forum, funny that within the first day they became the thing they claimed to hate the most, oppressive admins.

Cant say I miss any of them, although there were quite a few who were banned that made me scratch my head as to why. Especially those who are banned because of low content.

There is only one person who i REALLY dont miss, but even ill admit that the post that actually got him banned wasnt ban worthy. In fact compared to most of his posts it was extremely tame, almost civil.

IMO it's far too easy to get banned here. I post sporadically sometimes taking months off and than be like (oh yeah they don't allow 1 word posts or pictures without sentences to go with them even tho the picture itself is completely inline with the topic at hand.)

Most of my warning are for little dumb things like that and everyone has been a minor offense, if you can even call them an offense. I've seen people get warnings and suspensions for practically nothing to the point I wasn't even sure what they got a warning for and you're not even allowed to mention the things that blo... sto... the things that are not allowed to be mentioned, without getting a warning.
