Mythrandia was....interesting, I didn't know Matthew had left but that sucks, Boudica was again, interesting, but I didn't agree with anything she said, Zeel was pretty cool. I have to say though I'm kinda glad Mortai got banned. Even when he was arguing a point I agreed with he'd do it in the most snide, childish way possible, calling multiple people liars and using the word strawman at least a million times a day (he would be calling this one, too), but even though I'm glad, some part of me misses him I suppose.

While I don't understand how his ultimate posts got him banned, I shall remember Karutomaru for his opinions like Capcom being the best developer, and that gaming is dying because of lack of Wii core game support. And the fact that in almost every thread he commented in, he would respond to everyone's answers he disagreed with, just to say that they're wrong.
Since other people have mentioend Lilithslave's abandonement, I do actually miss them. They were very misunderstood, like them feeling outcast when they made a thread about Touhou being the one true religion, and nobody saw the jokeyness in it because it was obscure enoguh for people to take it as some kind of oppression by hipsters. Basically getting disliked for expressing their love of a game. That's a bit sad for a gaming site.

Nah, NeonBob got some forum fame for being one of the first (if not the first) poster to hit the 10K mark, mostly because he constantly posted in Forum Games. As far as I remember, he'd dig back through pages of RP (this being back before Forum Games and Role Playing had separate forums) just to find games and keep them alive. He's still going as well - I've noticed him whenever I go lurk Forum Games (I never post though; never want to disturb the games, seems rude somehow )Man, I remember Commi, but I thought he just changed his Username. Yeah, I know what you mean; the site does feel different. Not good different, but not bad different either, to me. I mean, I started lurking from the end of 2007, and the site had a totally different atmosphere (as well as, of course, an entirely different line-up of people, pretty much all of them now left). I seem to remember 2009-2010 being maybe a little more abrasive thanks to the grumpy celebrities, and the forums today do suffer a large number of the 'in' topics, most of which are worrying in content, but all in all they're easy to ignore.Caramel Frappe said:

Surely it's far better to become known for being a great poster, with well constructed and eloquent arguments, a positive outlook, the ability to reply to abusive or argumentative posters with grace and tact and a willingness to help any other forumites? The mods can be heavy-handed, but a gestapo on a message board is almost a must, and even with the looming hammer of ban ever at the ready some people still have to behave like prickly little fuckers. Generally it seems deserved, and I don't think the mods just dole out justice without first warning the trolling sods.

The rule against calling people trolls has got to be the one rule on the escapist I disagree wit. I can kinda see why it exists, to prevent a GFAQs type situation where everyone who disagrees with you is a "troll" but I still say if it walks like a duck, and it quacks like a duck, I think I should be allowed to call it a duck.Vault101 said:

I'll remember people like Danyal and reonhato for hilariously failing at understanding why they're being banned or what they're doing wrong. Them stirring up shit and refusing to shut up in the mod group was very funny
Not particularly, nor shall I be dancing on any graves. There's a lot of unreality in here, and its difficult to take anything seriously in most contexts.
